Happy Homemaker in Texas

Hello. Welcome to my late post.

I had a fun and busy weekend and a busy and kind of fun morning.

I will share all about that in pics.

But let's get on with Sandra's party!

The prompts

The weather . . .

This morning Blue skies. Nothing but blue skies.

There's  a Willie Nelson song playing over in my mind.

We had a wonderful cool evening last night with clouds that brought in rain over night.

Today I am wearing . . .

Jeans this morning with a top that I cut off the sleeves to make short sleeves.  Went the post office but it was closed!  Bummer!

Back home and in the house wearing shorts and a tank top.

On the breakfast plate . . .

The Cowboy got up this morning bc and asked for a Cheese Omelette!

A new fun blog feature . . .

Every Monday I am hosting Mailbox Monday.

An invite for you to subscribe to author newsletters.

My friend Jocie McKade is my feature today!

On my reading pile . . .
I haven't even checked on the new releases yet today.  But I have a few I am itchin' to read . . .

This one for the tour.   And a few just for fun . . .

In the crafting space . . .
Mostly I am working on my planner and Scripture Journaling.
Yes it is Christmas in July.  Do you see the Santa pictures?

I made a Planner/Scripture Journal from a Magazine that I altered.

In the garden . . .
Nothing really new.   I don't really have a garden. Just a few pots on my porch.
But my neighbor is talking about turning the yard back into a yard because one tenant moved.
So we can turn that parking  space into a green space!  I am so excited.  I hope it happens!

On the menu . . .
Not making any real plans this week but I could cook

Mussels in Wine Sauce over Linguine
Pintos and Cornbread
Chicken Nachos
Beef Lettuce Wraps

Hmm do I have Chicken Fried Steak in the freezer?

It will be an interesting week.
Come back for Foodie Friday to see what I come up with!

Something fun to share . . .
The Cowboy and I are planning a picnic.  I was looking for food ideas and saw this clever idea!

Isn't that coolest idea.  Wish I had thought of it when I was having big parties!

From the camera . . .
So should I buy it ?  The Cowboy thinks it's silly.

Scripture/Devo or Thought . . .

Thanks for stopping in to spend part of your day with me!

Have a Sparkly week!

Linking with Sandra and all the regular hangouts . . .

That is a very cool way to keep food on ice at a picnic!

I like the dress! And the picnic idea is fantastic! I have to pencil that in to use with my kids, they would LOVE that! I also love the quote, I've been thinking on that a lot lately, thank you for sharing!
