About the book . . . (provided by Litfuse)
Dr. Sarah Gordon lost her husband and daughter. Now she’s about to lose her life.
After losing the two people she loved the most, Sarah Gordon doesn’t think life could get worse. But, after a fire in her garage is ruled an arson, she begins to realize someone is after her—and that person wants to see her dead. But first, they want to see her suffer.
Her late husband’s best friend, Kyle Andrews, and a recovering alcoholic detective, Bill Larson, are trying to solve the mystery before it’s too late, and they’re both trying to win her heart, too. Not only does Sarah feel torn between two men, she also feels as though she cannot trust anyone.
With creepy threats that become more and more sinister, Sarah finds herself in constant fear, but even the best home alarm technology won’t protect her. Who is doing this, and why are they after her?
And I Thought . . .
Suspenseful thriller and a tiny bit of Romance
I didn't want to put it down.  From page one I was on the edge of my seat.  I admit I wanted to fast forward to the end to see how it turned out but I didn't. I stayed with it and read to the end. (in only a couple days)  There were quite a few characters inside this story.  Some appeared in the beginning and some added over half way through that became central to the storyline.  The twists and turns will keep you spellbound all the way to the end.
After loosing her husband and daughter Sarah the main character manages her grief by working.  And just gets through a day at a time 'on her own'.  But once the stalker begins to victimize her Sarah is drawn back to her faith and begins to rely on God.
I do have to say I was a little pleasantly surprised about how the story ended and who  Sarah ended up with.
And, giving Dr. Mabry credit I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book and his writing style.    Giving the good Dr. a thumbs up and 5 Stars this first and hopefully not the last book I'll have the opportunity to read.  Possibly beginning with Fatal Trauma the next in the series. An excerpt follows.
Here's my 5 Stars . . . Image result for 5 stars
A twisty, suspenseful story for any audience.  No language. No bedroom scenes.  Very little violence.
I received a complimentary copy of Medical Judgement from Litfuse in exchange for my honest review.
