How often in life do we wonder which way to turn. Do you ever feel like your in a corn maze wandering aimlessly?
Wandering this corn maze that meant to be fun was actually a little spooky for me. I tried not to let my fellow traveler know I was spooked.
How silly I was. I knew it was broad day light and many hours till dark. And there were a bajillon people there that day. But it was still spooky.
I could hear the road traffic and in I though well then if the road is this way; then we need to go this way. Each time I made the wrong decision. We'd end up back where we started.
It didn't take me long to figure our I am not good at navigating in a corn maze! I couldn't help but think of the stories that I have read of the people that were found dead in a corn maze.
Did I think that Kevin Costner might walk out any moment. Nope. Not me all I could think about was dead people!
I actually felt a little hopeless and frightened. I've never had that feeling before. I suspect its basically because from a very young age I knew where I was going. I made a choice to trust God. He's guided me and given me direction. I've never really had a hopeless feeling. And I'm thankful for that!
The end of the story. You've guessed. We made it out. Will I pay the $2.00 for the corn maze this year. I think I'll suggest a trip to Sonic instead.
Today I'm linking my little spooky story with Linda Kay at Wit and Wisdom.
