Foodie Friday

I just thought Duh to myself!

I was typing along working on my Happy Homemaker in Texas post.

And got to the menu and realized I haven't written a Foodie Friday  post!

We had some great meals this week.

On Thursday night the Cowboy was reading a free local magazine and found a place that has take out BarBQue and Tex Mex.
1713 37th St, Galveston, TX 77550

We both agreed Best Ribs in a long time.
We did not agree on Tamales.   They were fine but I think the neighbors are alot better!
Wednesday was pay day.  As planned we went to the Pier for Fish.  We got Red Snapper and Shrimp.
Then to the grocer for veggies.
I cooked the Shrimp in Garlic and Butter. Then I put Blacken Seasoning on the Snapper.

Both plates were cleaned!

The Shrimp was so good.
I had intended to fry Green Tomatoes for color but I was too tired.  The Cauliflower and Salad were perfect.

A bit of a disappointment on Wednesday.  We planned to go to our favorite Mexican place.
1401 Market St, Galveston, TX 77550

But they were closed. And only offered Take Out.  I just checked and they are open today!

We ended up at a new place.
It was really good but alot more expensive!

2101 Postoffice St, Galveston, TX 77550

Forgive the messy photos.  I was chowin' down and realized I forgot pictures.

I guess I am a sloppy eater!
I ordered the Borracho Beans.  They were great!
The Cowboy got Spinach Enchiladas.  He says they were o.k.  He only ate two.

I had 3 Cheese Enchiladas! I loved them.  And the Rice is way better than our usual place!

Tacos on Tuesday.  We do eat alot of TexMex.  I wasn't enchanted with the Taco Shells.  They were small.  If I can find some decent Tortillas I will make my own.
Guess what we is going in my Daddy's bowl!

Chili of course!
We had Steak in the freezer.   More Blacken Seasoning.  Ranch Style Beans and Scalloped Potatoes.
The Steak was super tender!
A simple meal.  Kielbasa, Frozen Hash Browns and Black Eyes peas.
I used up the Hash Browns to make room for shopping day.

It was a good thing because the Cowboy  found Ice Cream on sale for half off!

Tuna Casserole for lunch.

The rest of the Kielbasa and a Baked Potato.  I didn't realize we didn't have Cheese, Sour Cream or Bacon!

So that was the meals we had this week.

See you next time!
