And it Rains-Thankful Thursday

Simply I am Thankful today because it is raining..

We don't get much rain during the end of summer or early fall.

So even a good 30 minute soaking makes a Happy time for all.

I am happy tonight that it is in the 70's.  Maybe it really is Fall.

I sure hope so!  At any rate.  I am Thankful for rain!

Thankful Thursday

#1 Thankful I am at home at 1:00.  A short work day. Yea.

#2 The Cowboy is home too.

#3 A relaxing afternoon for us.

#4 And the internet is working so I can get some posts written for those times that it is sooooo slow!

Thankful Thursday

Joining Michelle to celebrate our thankfulness.  Today I am 

Thankful for many things. 

1. We got a new deal on cable and internet.  1/2 of what we have been paying! That is a Blessing.
2. I love my work and my clients that are a joy to work with so sweet and patient and show 'me' respect!  
3. The beautiful weather.  It warms everyday to the 70' and sometimes 80's.  Beautiful days!
4. The Cowboy is finally getting more hours.  We're struggling with the car issue but it is working for now.  
5. I am thankful that I think I have gotten into a rhythm with the house that I have that has been a struggle.  (I clean houses) Today I was much less fatigued when I got home.  I am thankful.   

Actually that's just a few Thankful things.  I could make a much 

longer list but I am sure you've got many more friends to visit today.

Just in case I disappear.  We loose internet tomorrow.  I am not sure when we will get the new service connected.  I am waiting for their call to schedule.

I Have Windows And . . .

. . . I can open them!

We lived in apartments for a few  too many years. 

 Not something fancy shmancy like this.  

Just a regular 'ole apartment. 

 It was hard to open the windows.  Everything inside stayed dirty if  from the traffic through the parking lot and the endless dirt blown in from the yard crew that came three days a week and blew the sidewalks.   I don't have to worry with that now because

I have windows

And

I can open them!

Warning photos aren't real pretty.  No photo shop or cutesy borders or anything fancy.

Just real.

 

Yes that is a rumpled bed.  It's wash day.  But I got distracted because of the window. . . 

. . . This is my view and nope it's not pretty.  Yet.

           

It really isn't a pretty view.  But I don't really gaze out the window.

I just enjoy the breeze blowing through.  There's something about 

clean fresh spring air.  Isn't there.  

We do have some plans of course to get the back yard into shape.  At least clean it up this year.  And hopefully put in a water feature.  I would love to hear the sound of water.  But for now 

I just enjoy my windows because I can open them.

Happy Blessed Day

Thankful Thursday

It's been a few weeks since I've been able to share a Thankful 

post. 

Today I am thankful that I have the time and energy to write a post.  I am thankful for my schedule settling down so I can post more.  

Today I am sitting in my creative space listening to a lawn mower. I am thankful for my neighbor.  He mows our grass.  I only have to pay him in 'sweet's and 'left overs'.  Cakes, pies, cookies.  Anything sweet and he's happy!  

I am thankful for our neighbors. 

I am thankful that the Cowboys job schedule is improving. We've struggled since he changed jobs the end of Oct.  He has begun 

'testing' now.  He enjoys it much better than teaching and he makes considerably more.  He teaches drivers ed.  His hours have

been 5-9.  I hate it.  Soon he will start working days. 

I am thankful for spring.  I can hear birds outside now that the mowing is over.  I took a picture of a robin today.  Welcome spring.  

I am thankful that the Cowboy is 'off' on Tuesday and makes dinner.  

That is the 'short list'.

Thankful Thursday

Today first on my list is I am thankful I am writing a Thankful post. I have missed the last few weeks.

I am Thankful for family events that have gotten me behind on posting.   I am sorry Michelle I have missed writing a Thankful post and linking.

I had a busy and eventful weekend.  I loved spending the day with my grandson.  We went to  McDonalds on Saturday.  On Sunday we went to visit his horse.  Then stopped at Michael's and Sprouts and ended the day at Sonic. 

   

We began our day Saturday at the court house where my grandson goes every other weekend for a supervised visit with his father. 

I am thankful for the system and the efforts that they make to keep all the children and families safe.  Although I am thankful I am not an advocate for how the system works.  It is a 'real' eye opener to see all the children there going in to see a parent.  I am thankful that I only have one grandchild having to go through this ordeal.  

I am thankful for the gorgeous weather we had been having. 

Spring is close.  I planted some basil, green onions and some tomatoes in my greenhouse.  I am thankful for my greenhouse. 

I love it!

I am thankful for my blogging friends.  A few are on my prayer list right now.  I love you guys.  I pray God's hand on each and everyone of you.
