Happy Homemaker In Texas

 Good Saturday Morning!

The Fabulous Party is live.

Click Here to link!

I love to share my plans for the week with you on Saturday and a little bit about what went on during this week!

I join Sandra for her Happy Homemaker Party.  Sandra gives the prompts but I add a few of my own.

And here are the prompts . . .

The weather . . .

Oh my goodness it was so cold.  It also seems so cold when we have the first snap.  But thankfully we will be back to Fallish weather this coming up week.  Upper 70's during the day!  Yea

Outside my window. . .

I did get to get some plants so I put some in the pots out front.

I am not sure what this little flower is I think a miniature Pansy but I can't remember it's name.

The garden is smiling in the sun and happy from all the rain last week.

The dogs are running around playing while I sit in my morning room and write my post.

On the breakfast plate . . .

Nothing yet but I am thinking of Pancakes and Sausage maybe an Egg if the Cowboy is super hungry.

Well the Cowboy had other ideas . . .

He cooked his in Eggs.  I watched.

Something fun to share . . .

It's  Fabulous!  The party begins again on Sunday!

I am so happy to invite you to link your Family Friendly Homemaking Posts.  Anything goes.  Cooking, Crafting, Gardening.  You know all those things we talk about here.  Come back Sunday and join the party.  It actually runs all week and you can post as many posts as you wish just as long as they meet all the above topics!

Let's Party Again!

On the 'To Do List' . . .

Around the house I need to sweep/vac. and mop (it's a daily thing)

I am planning on setting up the Hot Chocolate/Beverage station for Fall instead of waiting for Christmas

For the blogs I need to make my November/Thanksgiving photo's and change the HHM photo

My 'Ta Da' Moment . . .

I was able to get started on Fall.  It's not fancy but it is Festive.  I am happy with just getting something up!

I am reading now . . .

On my reading pile . . .

Too many to list.  Lots of offers for reviews.

On the menu . . .

Monday . . .

Chicken Alfredo and Salad

Tuesday . . .

Guess what?  Nope not 🌮 we will be having Taco Salad!

Wednesday . . .

Bratwurst cooked in the 🔥 pit, fried Potatoes and Cole Slaw

Thursday . . .

Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Corn

Friday . . .

Pork Lo Me in, Egg Rolls and Egg Drop Soup

Last week's menu . . .

Boy that freezer 'biting the dust' threw me for a loop.  I don't think I cooked anything I had planned!  It was one crazy week.  But I did get some good meals on the plates.  Have you read my Foodie Friday posts.  Each week I post what I cooked during the week.  Click here to read my post.

In the 'Studio' . . .

I finished my Fall Junk Journal projects but I wanted to make  a few Embellishments before I put everything away.
A few ruffled paper/fabric strips and some clusters.  They aren't finished.  I need to glue the backs and trim threads.

I changed my thread to Brown so I could work on my  Flannel Quilt for the Morning Room.

I love the mix of color and patterns of the fabrics.
This is a super easy and fast quilt to make . . .
Stitchin' I hope I finish before the next fold snap!

From the camera . . .

I love these kind of streets with big trees and sidewalks. And oh the gorgeous old houses!

We took a drive around the Zoo area in Fort Worth after the Cowboy's MRI the other day.

Thanks for joining me each week!

Hope your weekend and week is Blessed!

Foodie Friday

 Hello.  Welcome to Foodie Friday.

The Fabulous Party is live!

Sharing meals served on the Rustic Dinner Plate.  The Cowboy likes his plate/platter.  My photos are rarely edited and my shots aren't staged so they are a bit Rustic.

It was a busy week.  On Sunday we noticed our freezer went out.  So I spent Monday and Tuesday batch cooking.  Then running  to the store everyday for something I forgot!

Here's what we've eaten this week

One Rib Eye.  I cut in half to serve.

It was sooo good.  I did the reverse sear method. So easy and no smoke!  I sauteed Mushrooms in Bacon 🥓 Fat and Butter.  Topped the baker's with 'The Works'

The Cowboy suggested  I put his Eggs in the Crossiant I never think of Breakfast Sandwiches.

I got a super deal on Smoked Salmon.  He asked for Crackers but we are out!  In all my trips to the store I forgot the darn Crackers.   I served with Cream Cheese and these Pretzels found on a sale.

The 5# of thawing Burger became Chili.  It was 'just' So So.  Time is me enemy lately and energy too!  I made Corn Bread Muffins from a mix.

The Pot Roast was great. I worried and worried about it.  I marinated over night in Salt and Aldi's Mrs.  Dash then washed it and cooked from Noon until 6.  It was super tender.

He asked for Pickles with the Salmon.  The last of these fancy Crackers we bought at the discount store. We didn't like them.
One if my fav's from that bunch of Burger.  I love my Momma's💗  Goulash.  A few Veggies cooked in the grill pan and some Collard Greens.
I love 💕 this meal but I like it better with Fried Potatoes.

A leftover night. Beans, Collards, Corn Bread and Kielbasa
More pics of the Roast. . .

A breakfast plate.  See the Lentles I remembered to get them at the store.

Boiled Crab from the freezer and Fried Catfish.

I make my own Tartar Sauce.  Just chop an onion and a pickle and stir into Mayo

A leftover night if Mixed Beans and Collards and a piece of Cornbread goes great with Kielbasa.  An easy meal!
Same Old lunch.  I need ideas!
Well I got ideas from the Cowboy this is what he asked for.  Actually it was more of an order.  I just roll my eyes and hope for better days.
In case I didn't share the Lasagna from last week.  I had never used no boil noodles they worked great!

So that was our week of mostly

Did you manage to get any healthy meals on the dinner plate?

I would love to here your meal plans and ideas.
