Tea Time Tuesday Interview with Petunia

Welcome to Tea Time Tuesday today we have a special treat and a special guest!

Meet

Petunia

Interview with a vampire, er, I mean goat!

PETUNIA THE GOAT FROM THE MYSTERY OF THE TEA CUP QIULT.

Tell us your name and where you live in the book The Mystery of the Tea Cup Quilt. And is this a series?

My name is Petunia. I’m a goat. And I live in Harland Creek, Mississippi. My owner is Heather Smith. Her boyfriend, Grayson gave me to Heather as a gift. He made her mad so he gave me to her when I was a baby goat. I love Heather but she works a lot. So, I spend a lot of time with the old lady, Elizabeth Harland. She bakes me cookies and brings me along to quilt. I like to eat both the cookies and the quilts. The Mystery of the Tea Cup Quilt is the first in the new series Harland Creek Mystery Quilters. But my first appearance was in Promise Kept (The Harland Creek Series)

Does the author, Jodi Allen Brice, get to write everything you do in the novel? Or do you have a say?

I’m Petunia. I always have a say. I’m the heroine of the book too. But don’t tell Dove. She thinks this book is all about her. It’s not. It’s about me. :)

And yes, I get to have a say in what’s written.

How do you evolve as a character?

Well, I evolve with each scene I’m in. I go from eating flowers to nibbling on quilts. My favorite quilts are the ones with flowers. And then there was the important document that tasted nice and minty.

Which character do you like the most in this book?

Of course, Elizabeth. She’s like my grandma. I like Dove, too. It’s hard to pick a favorite because they all are sweet to me. Agnes gives me gas station hotdogs, which are my fav.

Where do you first appear in this book?

Dove is a weenie. She faints at the sight of blood. So I go with Agnes and Bernice to help clean up the crime scene. That’s my first appearance.

You mentioned above that Dove isn’t the main character of the book. Can you explain?

Sure. The main character is the one who has their picture on the book. As you can clearly see, I’m on the front and the back of the book. That means I’m the main character. They just are just saying it’s Dove because I don’t speak English. I speak goat, which a lot of people can’t understand. It’s very frustrating.

Okay. So is there anything you want the readers to know about The Mystery of the Tea Cup Quilt?

Sure. If you like cozy mysteries, old ladies who are smart and sassy, and cute little goats like me, buy the book!

Also, Jodi just got her website shop up live! And she is offering a Book Box with my book in it, complete with quilted bookmark, a bracelet with me on it! As well as a mug rug with me on it as well! Check out her store click Here

Happy Homemaker in Texas

The weather

Cool and super windy.  Weather.com says it was 46 this morning.  Not sure it was that cold but I was glad I grabbed a hoodie.  I hurried the dogs along.  They didn't mind!

We will have some rain and clouds and chilly mornings this week.

Afternoons won't get to 60.  Brr!

As I look out my window

A few Palms lost thier leaves?  I am not sure what they are.  Are they leaves? It is like part of trunk. So maybe not leaves.

So I guess it is the Frond but the Stem is as long as the tree is tall!

It is really super windy.  So my plants on my porch are getting tossed around and over.

I had to bring 1 pot in.  I bought Basil yesterday at Home Depot I had brought it in last night!  I am glad I did!

Right now I am

Glad to be sitting by the Cowboy at 10:45 in the morning.  He is drinking coffee and messing around on his phone.

Update at 1:48 he is still in his chair

He has not gone back to bed today.

Thinking and Pondering

Hmm.  My mind  is filled with thoughts of holidays and family.

Encouraging Women the FB group I am mentoring.

My crochet project.  I am itchin' to finish this post and get to it.

Opps I couldn't get pics to load so I stopped on the post and crocheted abit.  It is 1:50 now!

How I am feeling

Good.  My body isn't sore today.  Lately I have had some back pain and sore muscles.   A little ibuprofen does the trick.

On the Breakfast/Lunch plate plate

On the dinner plate

I think tonight I will make Frito Pie from L/O Chili I made the other night.

What I am wearing

My dog walking pants and a cami

 The List Kitchen is back!

We watched Beat Bobby Flay

I watch Guys Grocery Games while He naps.

He watches sports.

On the menu

Monday L/O Corned Beef Brisket.  I brined it myself.  We bought a Brisket on sale.  It came out great!

Tuesday Well I want Tacos!

It will go good with Fridays meal

L/O Cajun Lasagna

Looking around the house.

A mess.  I need to get to that To Do List.

I wish I could show you the sweet video my daughter posted on FB.  The 18 month old has been sick.  The 14 y.o. straightened up the living room.  Lined up all the babies shoes.  Displayed the toys.

It was really cute.   Here is a picture of the 14 y.o.

This was 2 years ago.  He is 14 now.

He told his mom the other dad he thinks God is calling him to be a missionary.

Be still my heart!

To Do List

As much as I like the counter peninsula in the kitchen there are days I want to blow it up!

Clean peninsula

Finish last night dishes

Clean Ceiling Fan

I want to get everything off all the counters.  So a little rearranging in cabinets

Go to Tuesday Morning.  I have a list.

Go to Walmart to look for Herb's or the 1 and only Green House on the island

Crochet

From the camera

Lola wonders what the heck is going on when I pull back the blanket and lay my crochet on the sheet.

Devotional

Thanks for joining me today.

Foodie Friday & Recipes To Try

Good Morning.  I sure hope your meals this week have gone better than mine!

Need a little help and prayers.

The Cowboy is back to eating very little.  It is a struggle to get him to eat anything at all.

He does sneak Pie, Cookies, Ice Cream late at night.  That he buys

Here's what I cooked . . .

I found Hash Brown patties at the store.  He likes them.  They cook up nice in the Air Fryer.  He saved half of the Eggs for the dogs.

This dinner was last week.  I may have already shared it.   He ate his Corn on Cob and a few bites of  Potato Salad  (I had to look up the recipe I haven't made in so long). I ended up eating the rest for dinner the night he didn't eat at all.

Clam Chowder which he likes but I sprinkled too much Pepper in.  We are out of Ground Pepper.  Have you seen how much it is? I am gonna resort to beating the ones we have with a hammer!

He likes he Sweets.  He usually always eats all of his Pancakes.  I need to remember to sneak Applesauce in.

I got out the Rustic plate.  There was a day when his meals covered this plate.   He will always eat Mussels and Angel Hair.  I need to keep them in the freezer.

Although I am so busy and hate the cleaning up I love to cook.

I may have to start cooking for the neighbors.

Here's a recipe I want to try tonight.

It is super simple and will go good with Crockpot Pot Corned Beef I have planned.

I found it on Pinterest click Here

If you can offer suggestions on how to encourage the Cowboy to eat please leave a comment.

Your Prayer's encourage us!

Have a great day and weekend!
