Planning A New Quilt Project And A Kitchen Mess

 Good Morning.

 How are you today?

Let's go into the sewing room and see what I am working on.

And after that I will show you my mess!

I just finished the Cowboys flannel couch throw and while I was finishing it I dug out a whole bunch of pretty floral and plaids.  They are perfect  for a more girly version.

I  have been thinking about the project for a few weeks and considering different patterns and versions of  a rag quilt.  But I really don't like how they fray and are harder to wash.

While searching Pinterest I saw this quilt.

This is my inspiration.  I love the layout of the blocks. My quilt will be similar.  I will draft my own pattern.  I don't intend to include the sashings between the blocks.

This pattern will be fast and easy to quilt with straight lines.

Fast is what I want. 'Get 'er done'  is my motivation.

I have other projects to do for Christmas but I think in between working on Junk Journals and Crocheting I am gonna take some me time. And stitch up that pretty flannel I have been hoarding!

While the glue dries on my Junk Journal projects I'll take time for me and stitch a bit!

When I don't have messes to clean up!

Seriously?  I was rushing around lat night getting dinner going and was trying to pour some cornstarch into  large ziplock I was using to batter Chicken without getting a bunch of bowls dirty!

Duh!  I was planning a major kitchen clean today but really?

So what do you do to take time for yourself between messes?

Thanks for stopping in!
