Letter I--Idaho

Time for another America The Beautiful series on Alphabet Thursday
today we visit interesting and things to see and do in Idaho

Perfect Letter "I" don't you think?  How about some fun facts.
Idaho is bordered by Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Canada.

God's Beauty.
Idaho's Salmon River near Riggins is the longest free-flowing river that heads and flows within a single state.

Breathtaking.
Idaho has 3,100 miles of rivers - more than any other state.

Idaho's state fruit is the Huckleberry, our state vegatable is, of course, the potato.

Idaho's state bird is the Mountain Bluebird.
More things to see and do . . .
The old West is alive and well in Idaho, where guest ranches and outfitters offer miles of trails to meander, hayrides to take and cattle roundups to check out. You’ll discover that the whole world looks better from the back of a horse.

Now this is what I call a fun place to vacation.
I'm not  much of a camper.  But I could do this . . .

They call it Glamping.  Glamour Camping.  This place is amazing.  I need to save my pennies!

Catch the best of Idaho's beauty when you catch a train.

A few more facts . . .
As the 13th largest state in the U.S., Idaho produces 72 types of precious and semi-precious stones. Some of these stones can be found nowhere else in the world, which is why our great state is known as The Gem State.

I learned a lot about Idaho today. Had no idea it so many rivers. I've only been through Idaho once, towards the top. I recall it being quite green. Next time, I'll take my time and zig zag around the state. Thanks for the post.

What a beautiful state! The tents reminded mom of her girl scout camping days.
