Happy Homemaker In Texas

Welcome to Happy Homemaker in Texas

I join Sandra at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom for the party.  Sandra provides the prompts.  I add a few of my own.

The weather . . . It turned hot again the last few days.

On the breakfast plate . . .

Skipping the plate this morning.  Spent last night on E.R. at What A Burger at 2 a.m never done that before. Isn't what you do when you party all night.  Apparently the drive thru was full!

2:00 seems to be our eating time. LOL.

I made Blueberry Muffins and Bisquick Biscuits.  The Cowboy ate 1 of was. After a plate of Tuna Salad which was L/O from yesterday.  He ate a nice Sandwich at 2:00 before going to the Dr.

Hmm 2:00.

 Outside my window . . .

I started my post on my phone last night at the E.R. watching people come in and out.

Today Saturday  I am moving around the house my view is mostly the backyard and the dogs.

I spent sometime outside in the shade over by the Zinnia
bed.
Lola is always busy looking for critters!

I am reading now . . .

This one didn't keep my interest in the E.R. so I switched to this one . . . .
I love Cowboy stories.  Sophia Summers is a favorite author.

On my reading pile . . .

I need to get busy on these!

Lots of book tours right now. My calendar is full

On the menu

Monday . . . Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Okra

Tuesday . . .  Kielbasa, Fried Potatoes, Cabbage . . . I'll be making Gumbo out of L/O for later in the week by

Wednesday . . .  Stew from L/O Sunday Roast.  Stew from L/I is

An easy meal so I'll be making Gumbo for later in the week.  It is always better if it sits a day or so.

Thursday . . . National Pizza Month Plain Cheese for The Cowboy and Mushroom Italian Sausage for me. Homemade trying the dough from Kroger deli

Friday . . .Gumbo and Sea Food Boil been trying to do this for weeks!

In the studio . . .

Finished repairing my Daughter's quilt.

Making Fabric Tassels and Scarecrow theme Junk Journal page for a SWAP

I made this one large because I wanted the little birdie to show and I wanted to use these big orange beads I have been hoarding . . .
I love these beads and I think they will be perfect for this tassel!

In the garden . . .

Fall planting under way.

I hope to get a few more plants this week since we get paid

The Cabbage is doing great. Much better than in the Spring.

The Broccoli is struggling but persevering.  It know has a nice Shabby Chic look.  My garden is in Full sun most of the day since we list the tree last Fall.

I do have a new plan to hopefully help shade the are where the Broccoli is now.

Look at these Green Beans!  I wish I had put more in.  We go through a lot of Green Beans.

Now that I have a tiller, a compost bin and a little more money to spend I think next Spring/Summer growing Season will be Bountiful.  At least I am hoping!

My Ta Da moment . . .

It is a work in progress but I got most of my Refrigerator cleaned out. All Science Projects are gone!  Not adding an LOL...this really isn't a laughing matter.  Everyone I open my fridge I cringe and hear À voices yelling at me!  Gordon Ramsay and Robert Irvine would be appalled!

I would so hate to disappoint them and have them Yell at me!

Lola is adorable, she reminds me of my Marley :)

Great books you're reading, they look like the type I would enjoy.

Hope you have a blessed week.
