Happy Saturday to you.  Today is Daisy's day and she wants to

We have this new routine Daisy and I
It starts the minute I open my eyes in the morning. How does she
know when my eyes are open? She puts her front paws on the bed and wags and wags and wags her tail.  
Of course I am petting her the entire time and the more I pet the louder the tail thumping the wall gets!
                           
Then when I am dressed I get a Dr. Pepper and the lap top and I sit on the couch and she waits till I pat the cushion beside me and then she very eloquently pounces onto the cushion and settles in and sighs.  Yes pounces she really makes a very funny production of it!




We look a little like this.  And then she helps me write my post. 

Or on Saturdays I help her write her post . . .  





So true.  This one is just beautiful.  It made me cry when I saw it.



And then I started wanting a Lab again.  In case your wondering just about the best dog in the world.  Except for Daisy and yours!

Here's Daisy a couple of weeks ago.  All hairy and shaggy.  I love her with long hair but it was really, really time for a spa visit . . .

 

And another shot of the after.  She looks in a mood.  Actually she usually does look a little  whiney when I take a snap.  (a lot like her master. )

Daisy's Bloggie Doggie Friends Meet Cocoa

Welcome to Daisys Saturday post.  This is the day that we award a special dog.  

Todays award goes to a special puppy  with a special mommy! 

The award goes to Cocoa Oldham.  She is so special she even got a stocking!


When mommy isn't feeling well Cocoa cuddles and gives mommy lots of love.


She isn't camera shy . . .

She is growing up to be a Big girl.

Cocoa was a huge Blessing to the sweet Denise.  Here's what she says in her 
Life with Cocoa post . . .

She constantly makes us laugh, she cracks me up with some of the things she does. Every time I vacuum, she chases after it, barking, and growling. When the mop, or the broom, are standing up by our closet in the kitchen, she keeps running in there, and barks, and growls at them. Whenever I take a bath, she comes in the bathroom, and begs to get in the tub with me, so funny!! She sleeps in the bed with me every morning after Eddie goes to work. When we wake up, she gets on my belly, walks up to my face, and starts licking my face, and my ears. Of course, then I get up, get dressed, and we go out for a walk. Actually, she takes me for a walk!! She takes off running as soon as we get outside. There is a huge field behind our apartment building, she loves it. After our walk, we come in, and then it is playtime.

A puppy definately brings happiness and joy to life. 

And so for all the sweet puppy kisses and tail wags Cocao you deserve the award today. 

 Is your child asking for a puppy for Christmas? 

It's not too late!  I promise you all the extra work is very worth it!    And I promise many, many
happy faces and Smiles.

It's a Dogs Day Saturday

Welcome

Daisy invited a couple of friends over to Welcome you to our new
Saturday feature. 

The other day Daisy hacked into the computer see her post here.  And so I decided to let her have her Saturdays back and share some of her friends with you on Saturday afternoons. 

And since we got balloons she said it was a party and her friends should dress up . . .

 What a lovely new white coat.  It is cold here in Texas today. . .

 And a couple of new friends recently engaged had eyes only for each other  . . .

 I finally realized why she hacked into the computer the other day.
She has a new boyfriend.    She was happy he was going to have a leave for the weekend.  So that is why she wanted to have a party.

 Alway the jokesters these friends thought we needed some Hot Dogs  so we did one even better and made . . .

Some festive yummy treats.  Daisy thought Mummy Dogs would be just perfect party food. 

Thank you for stopping in it wouldn't have been a party with you!

Daisy received an Award!

Do you think your dog is The Best Dog in the World? I am sure all of us dog lovers would probably be able to say that and probably get into some strong discussions on the topic. But I really do think that my dog is the best and here's why!


Because she is so patient with her inept at photography and computers owner for 1!

I learned the other day how to do a collage and of course used Daisy while learning.
Sorry for the bad cropping on the one photo and showing the same photo twice. I am learning and when I get time I'll go back and play with it again and bore you with more photo's of my dear Daisy.

On Sunday I have been letting Daisy write the post and introduce all of our friends to new friends that we have found during the week. But this week was so busy we didn't spend much time visiting the other blogs. We were so busy that we didn't even realize that we received an award! Wow how busy is that? But here it is



O.K. but now your wondering 'What is she talking about? This award is for Dog Lovers' Well duh....It is because my dog is The Best Dog in the World is why I love her so well I think it works and so I give the award to Daisy.

Here are the top ten reasons why I think Daisy is The Best Dog in the World.

1. She loves to ride in the car/truck or any vehicle with wheels. And she is sweet and kind and patient and only whimpers when she sees any other animal worth barking at.

2. She is gentle with the baby and smaller dogs.

3. She is patient with older dogs and doesn't play rough.

4. She is patient when we arrive home late and she doesn't get fed exactly at her special time of day. And she doesn't try to steal the cat's food while they are eating.

5. She does not tear into the trash when I forget and leave it in the kitchen floor and go somewhere and leave her home alone.

6. She takes her "job" of taking care of the horses very seriously. She is always ready to go out and check on them or feed or water them.

7. She always waits very patiently for us if we go somewhere and we don't take her.

8. She is very sweet to everyone and sits up sweetly and waits to be petted and doesn't jump on people (only me)

9. She turned Cowboys heart around and sometimes I wonder if she is turning into his dog. Because like his human daughter she has him wrapped around her little paw!

10. She loves me. This I know because no matter how much she loves her Daddy because he gives her treats that I don't and lets her do things that I don't she loves me more. Because she is always where I am. If I am in the kitchen she is laying down waiting till I finish. Not begging for food but patiently waiting for me. If I am on the computer she is patiently waiting at my feel till I finish taping away at the keys. She has even been known to pass up popcorn from Cowboy if I am leaving the room.

And so dear friends. I really do think that My Dog is the Best Dog in the World at least in my little world!

Daisy's new friend Maggie

Daisy has put out the Welcome mat and is inviting everyone in today to meet her
new friend Maggie. Maggie lives with her mom Kim in a wonderful little cottage that they call Daisy Cottage. My mom loves to visit thier blog and while she was there we got to meet Maggie.

Here is a picture of Maggie.

I just know she would be a great playmate. I would love to go and visit but my mom says they live to far away.
Maggie is a girly kind of girl. Here's another photo of her.

There are more pictures of her on her mom's blog. She wrote about Maggie's pretty pearls on August 24th so go over and see some pretty pictures.

I wonder how I would look in pearls. But they would get dirty when I got outside to take care of the horses!
