The Simple Womans Daybook

FOR TODAY July 26th
Outside My Window...grass struggling to stay green. It is in the triple digits here
I love my new yard I pray that it can survive the heatwave.
I am thinking... I have a million things to do and I didn't get started
early enough but it is my day off after all.
I am thankful for...My husband and my family and God's provision. Although sometimes
I don't show my appreciation.
From the kitchen... Deer Camp beans simmering on the stove. I am cooking the
beans to serve with Venison Burgers to the boys at the TYC
facility tomorrow. Hope they are good.
I am wearing... Wild flowery Hawaiian looking shorts. They are comfy and a black
T-shirt with a cross cut and frayed on the edges out of camo
with little crystals on the points and my worn out comfy slides
I am creating... My home into a sanctuary. I hope. I am still finishing
organizing the sewing room getting all the boxes of files sorted
and out of there so I can sew.
I am going... to Trust in the Lord and lean not on my own understanding but in
all my ways acknowledge him and allow him to direct my path.
I am reading... blogs and that is all.
I am hoping... To get my house organized and into a routine so I can do the
major things on my to do list.
I am hearing... Peacefulness. I am alone in the house. The dog is sleeping at my
feet. I haven't even turned on any music yet today.
Around the house... Clutter from the weekend and dog hair. I need so bad to shave
my dog. She is really late getting a summer haircut.
One of my favorite things...my dog.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:babysitting and hopefully taking photos of my
grandbaby, serving food to the boys and hopefully getting some
sewing in on Friday, and making some changes to my blog.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
The Welcome mat is out. Please come by and visit. And leave a comment. I try to answer each one. I love visitors. And Daisy loves visitors too. She thinks everyone comes by just to see her!
Have a Blessed Day.
Sherry
