Dumpster Dying-by Lesley A Diehl-Book Review

About the book (provided by Great Escapes Tours)
Emily Rhodes came to rural Florida for the cowboys, the cattle, and to do a little country two-step, not to fall head first onto a dead body in a dumpster. Ah, the golden years of retirement in the sunshine state. They’re more like pot metal to Emily, who discovers the body of the county’s wealthiest rancher in the Big Lake Country Club dumpster. With her close friend accused of the murder, Emily sets aside her grief at her life partner’s death to find the real killer. She underestimates the obstacles rural Florida can set up for a winter visitor and runs afoul of a local judge with his own version of justice, hires a lawyer who works out of a retirement home, and flees wild fires hand-in-hand with the man she believes to be the killer.

And I thought
Lesley A. Diehl is rapidly become a favorite!  She has done it again with the Big Lake Murder Mysteries featuring Emily Rhodes recently widowed/retired preschool teacher.
When Fred her husband that is not actually her husband dies
Emily is left realizing she's gonna have to get a job.  And, she's mad at dead Fred.  Who expected this?

While she struggles to figure out how to make ends meet a neighbor friend suggests Emily become a bartender.  It seems the neighbors all agree Emily is great tending bar at the neighborhood functions.
Everything begins to be looking up until she becomes the new bartender at the Big Lake Country Club and almost immediately discovers a dead body in the dumpster.  The dead guy happens to be the mixology teacher from her bar training classes.  Opp's and the didn't exactly 'get along'  But neither did Clara the manager at the bar who ends up being accused.

It seems to be a fast ride as things develop and grown kids (Clara's son and Naomi Emily's daughter) come to town with their problems.

The plots and story lines mingle and develop rapidly making Dumpster Dying a great clean Cozy read.  Filled with twists turns and humor.  Not much romance Emily's still struggling being a widow but the bachelors are circling.

This reader was utterly thrilled page after page.  Maybe because
I didn't realize that there were horses and Cowboys in Florida.
My readers know how I love a 'Cowboy'!

But that's not why I give Dumpster Dying a 5 star thumbs up.
It was just a good book I would recommend for any adult reader.
