The weather
A little cooler we had rain last week.  This week the weatherman

A clean romantic suspense.
Planning on starting this one this afternoon.

I should leave this one out.  The same as last week MLB.
Don't know what will be off after the season!

I am thinking

They have been super nice and supportive and understanding of my crazy schedule right now with MaMa in rehab!

will man the smoker and Rotisserie)

Thursday --Back to Kid Friendly Thurs
Sloppy Joes, Fries, Jello and Dirt .

On my To Do List
Take down July 4th decor
Put MaMa's pottery in hutch

Call/Schedule Donation Pick Up

My Ta Da Moment(s)
I actually wrote 3 posts last week!
Please don't give up on me.
I'll be back in the groove soon!

In the craft basket
Nothing in mine.  What are you working?

Something fun to share
It's 129 days till Christmas.  Ho Ho Ho.  Still time to make something!

Homeschooling
Have you started school with your kiddo's?
Our grandson started on Wed.  He goes to a two day program then works at home the rest of the week. Our daughter is teaching
P.E. at the school and Kindergarten Art.
Sounds like it will be a fun year for them.

Looking around the house
The chaos is slightly better than last week. I have managed to
go through much of the papers I brought home from mothers.
We've made decisions about furniture so we are moving things around to fit in her pieces.

Favorites from the Fabulous Party
These caught my eye from last weeks party. . .

Someday Soon I Want To

I am dreaming about Someday soon getting things back to normal.
I want to make this quilt. . .
Gratis Rag Quilt Patterns
Not sure I will actually do it.  But I like it.
This is how it looks finished.

Wishful thinking
These are so cute and look so fun to make.  I love to decorate
for Valentines Day.  They are springy too.  I love using little bits of lace and pretty fabrics.

I would love to make this rug.  It is so cool.  Over here is a photo
tutorial.  This looks so easy!
Someday soon I want to get my crafting area put together again after I get all Mothers furniture moved in.
I hope I'll have a paper crafting painting area in our bedding room.

Menu Monday-I Actually Planned a Menu

Image result for menu monday
I like to plan my weeks meals.  Do you?  Lately things have been so busy and chaotic that I haven't had a chance to grocery shop or plan a meal.
Or write a blog post!

Image result for grocery shopping
Bless the Cowboys heart.  He found an app for local grocery store ads.  And so he did the shopping.  Now I have a pantry and freezer full of food and I can plan a menu!
This weeks menu
Yea me!

Tuesday--Pork Chops, White Rice w/ Cream Gravy, Green Beans
Wednesday--Smoked Chicken, Baked Potatoes, Salad
Thursday-- Mongolian Beef w/White Rice and Brocolli
Friday -- A Chicken Casserole from the leftover

So that's the menu.

Happy Homemaker In Texas

Good Morning Afternoon LOL.  I am just happy to be able to take some time and post.  I hope you enjoy catching up!

Sandra provides the prompts.  I add a few of my own.

The weather
Today (I write my post on Saturday) it is rainy.  We have had Texas gully washers this morning.  We need the rain so I am
Thankful except I got caught going to my car and spent a 30 minute drive home soaked to the bone!

On my reading pile
This time a few print copies.  I like them best!
A couple for review and my Bible barely fitting into the space
by the computer!

On my t.v.
At home with the Cowboy MLB.  At the rehab with my mother
HGTV all day!

If I get the remote
Chopped, Murder She Wrote or a Lifetime movie or just some Jazz if I am home alone.

I am thinking
I hope to write a few posts this week.  And visit some friends.

On the menu
Doubt I'll have a menu.  My days are spent working and
going to feed mother lunch and dinner.  Our dinners are
spur of the moment what ever we can stir up simple and fast.
We did get some nice Sirloin I will try to do Mongolian Beef maybe tomorrow.
And the Cowboy bought taco shells that I like from the Mexican market! Taco's for Tuesday?  A simple and yummy meal!

On my To Do List
Taking care of Mother's affairs
Call and find a donation place that will pick up furniture
Find a source for fabric (enough for a shop!)

On my Ta Da List
I did not kill my brother.  I didn't even yell at him!
I made it through the week
Siblings can be a pain when your parents are ill!

In the craft basket
The "What?" I forget what 'The Craft Basket' is!

In homeschooling
The grands are all home schooled.  My grandson you see him on the blog alot will go to a 2 day school this year he is in 4th grade.
My grand daughter is in 3rd and lives in Missouri.  She has a
1 day a week school program.  I am blessed that both my
daughters have the desire to homeschool and also take advantage of supplemental programs.

Looking around the house
Chaos.  I have been making room for mother to move in.
I have her bills and papers scattered trying to sort.  It's a mess.
But we are on hold because she isn't doing well in rehab and may go to long term care.

From my D.I.L.'s camera
A precious photo for me.  My son was riding and the baby was
chasing them, then nursed when they stopped.  My D.I.L. entered this one and some others in the Fair and placed Best of Show.

Have a Good Day-Update

Image result for no words to say
There are times when there is much to say but no words to
express what is going on and the feelings and emotions that go along with it all.
Image result for no words to say
My mothers needs are my top priority.  My next priority is a
glass of wine and a bubble bath at the end of the day.
There is much to deal with her medical condition.  Siblings.
And cleaning out her house. Phone calls from her friends.
I am overwhelmed with To Do Lists.
But it's a Good Day

Today I hope you are having a wonderfully Blessed Day
I'll be back soon!

Favorite scripture. Need to add verse 6; but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

Let's Party

Monday, July 30, 2018

I Tried To Write This Post Yesterday . . .

I did try.  I tried to come up with something clever.  I tried to find some pretty photos to include but it just didn't happen.  I have nothing clever.  I only have the truth.   And sometimes it hurts
This is only BIBLICAL, when it is aligned with HIS WORD. WE ARE NOT CALLED TO ROB<=, KILL or DESTROY OTHERS, families, or people. cunt I will keep cursing you and it will come into your lap balls to the wall...
The main reason it hurts and is hurting is my mother (that I wish
I could call MaMa but that is another post).  Visited with us
4th of July week.  We took her home on Saturday only to go back and move her into our house on Tuesday.

It was our hope that with love and some good food and supervision
she might begin to feel better.

But that didn't happen.  Last Monday we had to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital.  She was there until last Friday when she moved to Rehab.
Mother was diagnosed with a Urinary Tract Infection.  In addition her 92 year old heart is just acting its age.  Because of the UTI she
is very confused and showing signs of Dementia.
Because my work is flexible I have been able to spend alot of
time with her.  She cannot feed herself.  I have to help her or an aide can help but they have so many folks that need to help I go
for lunch and dinner to relieve them and encourage her.
And so I didn't get a Happy Homemaker in Texas post written the last couple of weeks.  On Sunday I was super late posting the
Fabulous Party.  And I've just haven't been able to really get any posting down.
I don't know when our life will be back to normal.  I really don't
know if it ever will be.  If mother improves she will come live with us.  If she doesn't she'll be staying in the rehab and moving to
long-term care.
Either scenerio opens another whole can of worms in dealing with her apartment and closing it up.  Sorting through her things and deciding which kids and grand kids get what etc., etc., etc.

I hope to be back soon.  I hope to be able to visit you and share something of value with you.

I am looking forward to
August and . . .
