Today I'm taking the day from my normal routine of laundry and house work.. I am on a quest because I need to get my sewing room finished to show you all here. . .
Today I am shopping for lighting . . .
Off on a voyage to find the perfect piece . My first stop. . .
It would be a long voyage. Isn't this a cool sign. The shop is in Paris. Maybe I should stay a little closer to home for this quest.
Pennsylvania maybe? I wonder what I could find here. But nope not a day trip . . .
Maybe Charleston. I would be happy to just photograph. I probably couldn't afford anything anyway. But still too far.
Now this is more like it. Salado, Texas. My kind of place. And it's just a few hours away. I have to remind myself . . .
Happy Trails
My regular Saturday feature this beauty is for sale. And he's in Texas. I just might have to check him out. I love a Buckskin.

The Prompt.... Release Go. . . I have to remind myself. To ask Father God to remind me that I am released. Released from the burden of sin. Released from being separated. I have to release myself from guilt. From discouragement. I am not only released but I am redeemed. Why? Because I am a Princess. Yes. I am a child of the one true God. The king of Glory. I am released from all burden of guilt and shame. I can live in peace. And when I forget I only need to ask Him to remind me. Because I am His. Stop.

I was actually waiting for Letter E to come around because I knew I would enjoy writing this post almost as much as C. If you missed that one it was all about Cowboys. You know me I love My Cowboy. But you didn't come here today for Cowboys you came for letter E...at our house Letter E stands for Elephants . . .
This one I found on Pinterest. I wanted to show you the over 200 elephants that are in our storage building but I wasn't able to get there. But I have a couple of pics from previous posts . . . And yes I said over 200. Here are a few . . .
I had shared this pic. way back in 2008. I can't believe I have been blogging that long! The elephants shown right to left . . . Back--Pink Elephant is a tea pot Front--Sitting Blue Elephant is just a figure Center Left-- another tea pot Center Right--Large one is a cookie jar Far Right--standing is a Dumbo the Elephant Christmas ornament Front Far Right--small Dumbo ornament
Yes these are only a few of the collection. That began with a stuffed pajama bag my sister sent to my daughter for her birthday. She still has it on her bed. She began collecting elephants. When she was in 2nd grade for show and tell she 20 elephants in a wagon to school and passed out peanuts. (you could do it then back in the late '80s)
Since I wasn't able to share the whole collection here are a few of the 'Have a Good Day' pics I've used to send my daughter via text messaging
And because I teach preschool . . .
A vintage flashcard
And next
A preschool Craft

Once upon a time there was a little girl who dreamed big dreams. Her dreams were big or at least she thought they were because if they were to come true . . . It would be really, really Big. And so she dreamed . . . She would sit in the car and watch for fences as the family drove through the country. Not just any fence but special fences. Fences that meant . . .
She loved weekends when the family toured the countryside. And she dreamed.
Every day she walked home from school she would stop. She would look around to see if anyone was watching. And slowly tentatively she would reach up and climb a fence. All the while hoping that maybe today was the day she actually got to touch . . .
And she would say to him. " I would not leave you here all alone." And . . . 'I'll save all my kisses only for you.'
And she knew that one day her dreams would come true . . .
And they did And her . . . Trails were Happy And she gave him all her kisses until one day. . . She kissed the Cowboy. And that's another story.

Since going to work fulltime my/our life style has change so much! I have never punched a time card. I even had to have a tutorial.
Before I went back to work.
I used to have a daily/weekly schedule I used for household chores and errands.
Since we are now empty nesters things are a lot different; and since I am working. Actually especially since I am working.
Keeping up with cleaning is can be a big challenge.
It's not rocket science but I figured out that if I just take a couple of minutes here n there I can keep the house hold chores from become a mountain.
Here's my list of quick 5 minute or less chores . . .
Bleach Wipes...Do you know what you can do with a Bleach Wipe in just a couple of minutes! Well actually that's another complete post! Onto the list . . .
Fold a load of clothes..Now I take the basket stand in front of the dresser and fold the socks etc. right into the drawer.Unload a dishwasher... If it's not unloaded before a meal I unload while I am cooking. Load a dishwasher..We try to put things in as we use them. A sink load of dishes take a long time. Wipe down a sink and mirror. . .Wipe down every morning as I finish my makeup. Scrub a potty . . .Yep it really takes no time. Clean the kitchen sink...If you put dishes and cutlery in as soon as your finished the sink is read to scrub anytime you have an extra minute or two.Water the plants...This may take longer if you have a lot of plants. But you could just do one area at a time. Work out a system.Clean the stove top...It's amazing how little time it takes if you just do it regularly. If I don't have a full dishwasher I add the drip pans to a load.
My home is beginning to stay sparkly and clean and . . .
Happy
