Prayers For New Brides/Review

Most reviews don't begin this way.  Let's face it I'm not most reviewers or bloggers
                                                                  Read on it's worth it
Let me begin by saying this book is 'just pretty'.  From the cover to the font and graphics.
When this book was offered I jumped at the chance to review.
Something (or someone)  just stirred my heart.
Not since Power of a Praying Women by Stormie O'Martin have I been so convicted and so excited about
being a the wife that God wants me to be.

Please do not think that this book is only for young brides.  Oh no sister.  It is so relevant for all us women that strive to honor God and our husbands.   All brides whatever the age will be challenged and blessed and more than likely convicted as I was.

The author is honest, practical and Biblical.  By sharing her own experiences the author makes the reader feel like she is receiving advice and guidance from a friend.

It is a simple read.  It can be a fast read.  But it also can be used as a wonderful tool as a daily devotions.
It's 40 chapters cover  topics like:

  • Your Marriage Has An Enemy
  • God Is Fighting For You    and  Planning Your Victory
  • See Your Spouse Through God's Eyes
Each chapter ends with A Prayer Prompt  and A Wife's Call To Action each providing with reader with practical relevant application.

A few words from the back cover . . .
Marriage is God's design.  He has a battle plan, the power and the resources to win.  When a wife knows who  God  is and what he can do, she can trust Him to sustain her and her marriage.  Her joy will be complete as she allows Him to enable her to do more for her union than she can imagine.

I was encouraged.  I was convicted.  I was reminded.  And I was excited.

I recommend this book to all brides young and 'mature'.  You'll be blessed.

5 stars is typical but I want to add Plus 5. It's that good.
