And I was Thankful that this one . . .
slept through the night and didn't wake me at midnight or 2:00 a.m. to go out because got distracted at 10:00
and didn't do what she was supposed to!
FYI yes the room is a mess I was digging fabric out of the closet looking for a quilt. In the front is a leather pillow sitting on an ottoman at my feet.
But lookie at the video I think it worked do you see it?
But there is no sound because it is Lola snoring and I guess she wasn't loud enough yet or I didn't have the sound on.
But
I digress . . .Back to the 7 a.m. potty break I have no idea if either of them potttied because Domino started to dig around one of the chairs I scolded her and she ignored me but looked away and when she did what she was digging at made it for the woods in the back the yard she raced to follow. I yell again I suspect that her hearing had failed. . . I mean we are talking Domino here.
Not
This one . . .
That has to be on a leash because she will not come in when she is stalking something in a wood pile.
I lost count of how many wood piles there are
back to the 'Drama' . . .
. . . Domino runs into the woods chasing the kill. I am running behind Lola yelling at Domino as she is catching the critter. Now at this point I think it is a frog!
Lola gets into the mix and causes Domino to drop it.
At which point I drag Lola out of the bushes and there is a tail hanging from her mouth! She refuses to drop it. I get Domino away and finally she drops the offensive rodent! And I am able to drag her away.
What a lovely 7:00 a.m.
Wake up
Welcome to my day!
And so fast forward to 10:30 when I retell the story to the
Cowboy and his response is . . .

Oh, my! Sounds like one of my days. The other day, I was talking to an author on the phone. jack was in the back yard weed whacking. I'm on the top deck and I noticed that Storm was VERY interested in something. I'm watching her watching whatever. Then I see it move.
IT'S A SNAKE!
I'm too far away to see what kind of snake, but we have rattlers and copperheads up here.
I said very calmly into the phone: "Can you hold on just a moment?" I covered the mouthpiece, but not enough. Then I scream, "Jack! There's a snake!"
Storm runs up onto the deck, away from the snake. Jack is spinning around. "Where? where is it?"
It slithered under the steps and came out on the other side by Jack. He said it was a little black snake. He let it be.
The author on the phone laughed. She said I was so calm when I told her to hold on, then she heard this screaming.
Life is never dull with a dog or two dogs!
