A Happy Homemaker In Texas

Welcome to my new Saturday version of Happy Homemaker.
This week I am starting something new.  I normally write this post on Monday or Sunday night so I can link with Sandra for

Sorry sometimes I get distracted.  I wanted to start posting on Saturday because there are other topics I've been wanting to write about on Mondays.  So at least for awhile Saturday will be 
Happy Homemaker in Texas.

Tuesdays Tips
Last week I started a series titled A Housekeepers Guide
This year I am trying to be dedicated to the blog. I've always liked doing Tips on Tuesday.
The Puppy Pages
And a new idea.  I want to write more about the joys of owning a dog.  I got Domino the end of September.  She has brought so much joy to our life.  She's also reminded us about what it's like to have a puppy!

In the kitchen
Homemade Apple Peanut Butter Dog Treats- healthy and delicious and so much better than store bought!! Your furry friends will go crazy for them!

Mexican Pot Roast, Spanish Rice Beans
Potato Soup, BLT'S
Smothered Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans
Coconut Shrimp (we didn't have last week) Rice Pilaf, 
Chinese Dumplings
Bisquick Impossible Cheese Burger Pie, Salad, Corn on Cob

On The Menu last week  What Worked What Didn't 
Monday- Hamburgers, Cole Slaw(left over from Sunday) Pinto's from freezer ✔
Tuesday - Quinia, Chicken/Kale Ravioli, Ceasar Salad, Bread 
and some leftover spaghetti in case the Cowboy can't choke down the Ravioli
Wednesday -Clam Chowder, Homemade Sub Sandwiches
Thursday -  Roast w/Potatoes and Carrots, Green Beans
Friday -  Coconut Shrimp, Rice Pilaf, oven Roasted Veggies

Wednesday the Cowboy got into the kitchen and made Scalloped Potatoes from scratch, Pasta Salad from a mix and Ham. Thursday we had  Turkey and Dumplings.

A pretty good week with some good and nutritious meals!

In the garden
 Enjoying  my Pansy's and dreaming of spring

On the to do list
Finish cleaning and organizing garage (weather permitting)
Valentines decorations
Mop my floors

Ta Da  Things I finished or accomplished
Ta Da - I emptied 3 boxes from the garage mess!
Ta Da - I convinced the Cowboy to release a few things for donation!
Ta Da - I repurposed the red fleece scraps from the Christmas tree skit.  

 In the craft basket
 Cut out a few hearts.  Now I need to get to Hobby Lobby and get some embroidery thread and some beads to decorate them.
