Happy Homemaker Monday

hhm

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Hot will be 99 today.

Things that make me happy:
Riding my bike with my dog. We call it going for a "run"

Book I'm reading:
Rise of the Fire Tamer by Kailin Gow (a young adult novel) for review

What I'm enjoying on TV:Anything I want! Cowboy started a job today from 7 a.m. till 6 p.m. I have the remote.

On the menu for dinner:Beans already in the crockpot and my mothers cornbread muffin. .

On my To Do List:Reading, writing reviews and posting

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:looking for simple, hearty and minimum ingredient crock pot meals for this week.

In the craft basket: either my daughters quilt (hand pieced) or felt Christmas ornaments if I can find them.

Looking forward to this week: Peace and rest. It may sound crazy but this week will be very peaceful and restful for me even though I am in a motel because I have no place to live. I know that very soon God will be provide and I'll be sweating the pounds away when we're moving!

Tips and Tricks:Last week I posted how I put HHMM in a document and paste it onto my post. It works great. Today I opened another window and put real player on and I am listening to my favorite worship and praise music while I write. Who needs t.v. or radio or expensive Ipods?

My favorite blog post this week: I didn't read much because we were packing up and storing all our belongings but I know that Denise posted some great encouraging words. Go by and see here.

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers): I love the photo's I find over at Candy's.

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

Lesson learned the past few days: That God may not answer your prayers the way you ask, the way you expect or when you hope; but he is there working things out and providing what is best for you in each moment.

On my mind:Wishing it wasn't . . . but my daughter and grandson...I am struggling with where the relationship is. I won't be able to babysit for awhile. Which means I won't see either of them. Praying God will give me peace. And speak to her heart.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses: You are my Shepherd King, lead me by still waters, You are my only hope. In your presences you restore me. Jesus you are higher, Hallelujah you are Savior, You are the way , the truth and the life. You are my joy and my salvation. Restoring my faith and taking my shame on your shoulders. Jesus you are stronger , more than anyone, Hallelujah what a Savior. paraphrased: from Laura Story What Savior

I learned that same lesson you did. I need to keep that in mind as we go through life. Thanks for sharing!

Praying for this time that sounds like a big transition. Keep trusting Him.
