Just A Little Wishin' and a Dreamin'

And planning.  Got a few things going on.  Some plans in my head I needed to get out.  Wanna see . . .
Summer Table Ideas:
Pulled out some of my favorite Black and White vintage fabrics.
I'll put one on the long counter and the other one on the table.
And top with some cheery yellow napkins. (after I make them HeHe).  I was thinking I might use the crystal vase for sunflowers
and then I found this idea at Albertson's.  Mason jars it'll be!                            yellow flower border

After I finish a quilt that I'm quiltin' this week.  It's a secret.
                yellow flower border
I'll  be sewing up table runners and napkins for my Summery
themed table.
                  yellow flower border
And while I'm a sewin' I'm a dreamin' and a plannin'.

Here's the original dreaammmmy inspiration .  .  .
All the below images found on Pinterest.  Just a simple search the topic Easy Peasy there they are!

Love this, chalkboard in the dining room - menu, wine list, renovated chairs, feels like a fun room to entertain in:
This is dreamy to me!  I'm actually pretty much there.  My table looks alot like this.  Mine is all still stained.  Cowboy would never
agree to painting it.   My chairs are similar.  They'll stay stained too.
The real dreamy part to me is the lighting and the chalkboard.

Which is next on my list to add to our 'Smallish Space'.
If I run across dreamy 'chandies' like this I'll snap them up too!

I won't do the huge chalkboard like this because I would have to take away the mantle.  I know exactly where and how I'll hang mine.

Wanna see a few ideas though . . .

our vintage home love:
I love this idea.  And I have another area where I'm kind of thinkin' of doing this.

Had to save and share this . . .

This idea is actually the one I saw right after the dreaaaammmy
idea.  It's what got me goin' on where I can actually hang mine.
Hot Coca Bar from A Thoughtful Place. She Knows TV: HomeStretch Episode:
Mine will be on a "Smallish" side wall above my tea cart.  A perfect place for when I set up the cocoa bar for the holidays.

My Sweet Savannah: ~EAT signs in my etsy shop~:
Another idea I fell in love with.  I have enough room above my cabinets for something like this.  Perfect to fill in that dead space.

Don't laugh about this one.  Just had to share it . . .

Great tips for creating your own chalkboard art! Everything you need including how to get rid of ghosting, what tools to use, and ideas to get started!:
This site had a great tutorial.  Check it out.

And last the kind of idea I have for my frame . . .
DIY Menu Board: Gilt frame surrounds a chalkboard. Inexpensive and easy to make! http://www.hgtv.com/handmade/how-to-make-an-ornate-framed-chalkboard/index.html?soc=pinterest:
I doubt I'll go quite as ornate and pretty.  Because I'll be thrifting the frame.  I'm not really sure if I'll go white or gold.

Who knows?  We'll see what kind of mood I'm in when I finally find that frame!

Are you in the mood for a little 'Wishin' and Dreaming'?

It's free.  Free is good.  I like free!  And that's Frugal!

If your like me you might have a ton of photo's on your phone. I usually take photo's for my blog on my phone and I forget to delete them.

Try it!  Let me know if you do.  I'd love to see what books your going to read.

These books will all be reviewed on my book blog.  I'd love for you to go over and visit!  Click here

I meant to get more done today but . . .

. . . This was me after work at noon
Image result for woman running out of gas
Actually it's not really me.  Luckily I wasn't on the side of the road.
Especially if I was wearing what she's wearing.  I'd still be sittin' there.
Thank the Lord.  I got in my car and it wouldn't start.  That's a thank the Lord again.  Because I really believe he got me there.
I mean I seriously could have been on the side of the road.
I had my phone and thankfully the battery was at least half charged.
I called the Cowboy.  He answered and said "I'm at work".  I thought he started morning hours on Monday.  Guess not.
Another Thank the Lord.  My daughter answered her phone for once.  She came right away.
I ended up with gas all over me.  I have a gas can in the car.  I've never had to use it. Didn't know how to use it.  But it all worked
out.
And I got to eat lunch with my daughter and grandson.
Another Thank the Lord!
So I didn't get a new post written or any reading done.  But
I kind of thing my day was  worth it.  At least the lunch part.                                  .
Thanks for coming by check out the giveaway!

Thrifty Thursday

Sharing a little of my Thriftyness today . . .
          T:
A super cool garage sale find.  I love iron thingies!  This will hang in the entry way above the door.  The only place it will fit in a Smallish Space.
And my dumpster dive treasure . . .
T:
This jewel will sit in the corner of the tiny entry way by the stairs. Which I am standing against the last step.  Yes that is how small this space is.  Too small for a big dog.  I'll use this cool stand (that I can't believe someone left by the dumpster)to hold my purse etc. while I take Daisy out before I leave.
T:
I shared this already in my Holiday Weekend post (here) but in case you missed it I wanted to share for Thrifty Thursday.  I think this is super thrifty.  You can't buy plastic this price.  10 glasses for $7.00 at Big Lots my new place favorite place  to thrifty shop!

I was also a little thrifty in finding interesting things for an 8 year old to do . . .
T:  T:
The cardboard insert from a roll of wrapping paper is perfect for practicing your 'swing'.  Look at that face!
T:
The Cowboy visits the resale stores and finds bargains.  Brand new in the box.  The inside was un-opened.  Marked $4.00 everything was half price.  A lot of fun for $2.00.  That's thrifty Cowboy!
Now the challenge is finding thrifty prizes because the 8 year old expects prizes!  It never ends.  HeHe.

I picked this up for the prize tonight . . .
T:
He learned to blow bubbles awhile back.  This is his favorite gum for bubbles.

My thrifty substitute for a fancy smansie Journaling Bible.  Draw illustrate/Journal in your journal!    Now that's thrifty if you ask me!

Well that's my thriftiness for the week.

How about you have done any thrifting?

Medical Judgement--Richard L. Mabry,M.D.--Book Review

Super fast paced,Edge of your seat,Page turner,Suspense

About the book . . . (provided by Litfuse)
Dr. Sarah Gordon lost her husband and daughter. Now she’s about to lose her life.
After losing the two people she loved the most, Sarah Gordon doesn’t think life could get worse. But, after a fire in her garage is ruled an arson, she begins to realize someone is after her—and that person wants to see her dead. But first, they want to see her suffer.
Her late husband’s best friend, Kyle Andrews, and a recovering alcoholic detective, Bill Larson, are trying to solve the mystery before it’s too late, and they’re both trying to win her heart, too. Not only does Sarah feel torn between two men, she also feels as though she cannot trust anyone.
With creepy threats that become more and more sinister, Sarah finds herself in constant fear, but even the best home alarm technology won’t protect her. Who is doing this, and why are they after her?
And I Thought . . .
Suspenseful thriller and a tiny bit of Romance
I didn't want to put it down.  From page one I was on the edge of my seat.  I admit I wanted to fast forward to the end to see how it turned out but I didn't. I stayed with it and read to the end. (in only a couple days)  There were quite a few characters inside this story.  Some appeared in the beginning and some added over half way through that became central to the storyline.  The twists and turns will keep you spellbound all the way to the end.
After loosing her husband and daughter Sarah the main character manages her grief by working.  And just gets through a day at a time 'on her own'.  But once the stalker begins to victimize her Sarah is drawn back to her faith and begins to rely on God.
I do have to say I was a little pleasantly surprised about how the story ended and who  Sarah ended up with.
And, giving Dr. Mabry credit I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book and his writing style.    Giving the good Dr. a thumbs up and 5 Stars this first and hopefully not the last book I'll have the opportunity to read.  Possibly beginning with Fatal Trauma the next in the series. An excerpt follows.
Here's my 5 Stars . . . Image result for 5 stars
A twisty, suspenseful story for any audience.  No language. No bedroom scenes.  Very little violence.
I received a complimentary copy of Medical Judgement from Litfuse in exchange for my honest review.

So I can get back to the Journey here.  I miss posting about my home and my garden.  Here's an update on the balcony garden . . .
 T: T:
Finally a zucchini!  The flowers are growing.  And look it's red!
And look at this crazy plant . . .

This is the Poinsettia I pulled out of a pile of trash beside the dumpster.  There were two I feel bad now I didn't get the other one.  It was actually blooming and look great when I brought it home.  I was frustrated that someone would just pitch it out just because the holidays were over.  It was pretty for a long time.  If I had known it was going to survive like this I would have documented it.
I cut it back the other day and this is what it looks like now . . .
T
I wish I had cut it down more.  I'm not really sure what to do with it.  Any one have any experience with 'summering over' Poinsettia's?

All in all I'm very happy with my garden.  I have a lot of green bean plants.  I made this tee pee for them to climb on.  (they aren't climbing)
T:
You can see the carrots at the bottom and on the left corner those are Zinnia's.  Can't wait till the bloom!

And I'm expecting a ton of cucumbers.  And I don't even like cucumbers.  This is one pot . . .
T:
Hanging with my new blue wind chime which I love.  Tomorrow
I'll share a little more about my hanging system on Thrifty Thursday.

I have a few new dumpster treasures to share too.  But you'll have to wait till tomorrow.

I do have some Silly to share.  Enjoy . . .
T:
Don't look at the floor.  The visit interrupted my cleaning . . .
You have to stop when an 8 year old takes the pearls off the dog and puts them on his face!

And then . . .

T:
Get's bit by a fish!    Now that is Silly.  I should have saved this and started a new theme Silly Saturday.   HeHe.

Hope you enjoyed visiting and maybe our Silly made you Smile . . .
