Pins, Needles and Hooks

Good Morning

I hope your day has started  with lots of Happy moments.

Today I am excited to share my plans for my creative Journey  this year.

In the Crochet basket

I am excited  to join this group again this year.  I hope the monthly  challenges  are simple enough for me!

Super starting out Simple!

My 2022 Quilting Journey

I was able to bring several  boxes of fabric to Galveston  and several projects.

My goal is to complete a quilt project each month.

I will be sharing  with you my tried and true Maverick  methods.

I don't  like math.  But I love beautifully pieced quilts.

Alot of my quilts are made with a method called paperpiecing.  A no mistake method that makes beautifully  perfect pieced blocks.

For January  I plan to complete this Snowy theme quilt.

I love the fabric!

It may be difficult to see but I began the Quilting with large free motion stipple.   Which basically ia a meandering  wandering  pattern that does not overlap itself.

Sadly you can see how jerky and well not very pretty my stitching is . . .
This section is a little  better!
My plan was to use a quilt as you go method  because I was new at Quilting.  Not piecing.  Or making quilts.  Just the actual ext to last step of Quilting the quilt on the machine.

But honestly  I wasn't  to enchanted with method.

And so this project got folded away.

Until now!  I hope you will follow along with me as I take on the challenge of turning this once sad and frustrating  project into a warm and cozy Winter/Christmas  theme quilt for our bed.

I have never machine quilted before. I don't have a fancy sewing machine. Your quilt looks beautiful to me!
