Happy Homemaker In Texas--Happy July 4th

Welcome to Happy Homemaker I hope your having a wonderful July 4th!  Saturday is the day that I share a few plans for the week. I join Sandra at Family Corner for her party.  Sandra provides the prompts I add a few of my own . . .

The weather
Hot July 4th weather.  Heat index 100+.  It is cool upper 90's about 8:00 in the evening.

What I am wearing
I'll be mowing in a bit in the coolest shorts and cami I own.
Luckily no one can see in my backyard!

On my mind
Menu's, meals.  Navigating providing meals and having food in the house that The Cowboy will eat along with managing spending it's hard getting used to once a month payday.

On the breakfast plate
Do Nuts sounded good today but I can't spend any money so I'll guess I'll pull some Biscuits from the freezer and some little Smokies and Scramble some Eggs.  We really need Chickens

On the To Do List
Convince the Cowboy to get Chickens. LOL.
Finish organizing and the redo in my craft room.
Get organized and a get a schedule for cleaning.
I've gathered some items to donate and keep tripping over them in the garage.  Need to get them delivered.

Goals this week
Find some different Salad recipes
Come up with ideas for lunch

My Ta Da Moment
I kept it together with everything that is weighing down on my mind.

In the garden
The Sun Flowers are growing so tall.  I cannot wait for them to open.  The Zinnia's are so pretty too.  I'll be making Pickles this afternoon.  The Tomato's have slowed down.  We have a bunch of Green ones.

Garden Plans/Tasks
Complete my Compost Pile area.  I need to ad a fence to border it.
Complete the mulch area.
Finish prepping beds for Fall planting. It is fast approaching.
Making some changes in the Green House to get room for more planing.

Menu plans for the week
Just like last week at this moment I am clueless.  I guess
the new norm is to sit down on Sunday and get it together.

Last weeks menu

On the reading pile
At the moment I an not sure.  I opened the Kindle this morning to start a new book that I was just itchin' to read and there were no books.  Zero!  I got on Amazon and thankfully they were there.  I have resent them to the Kindle.  We'll see.  I have never had that happen before!

I was excited to be offered this one.  You know me and my horses and Cowboys.  This one will end up on the family horse book shelf.
