Thursday Crochet Project Update & New Plans

 Well.  I realized I am truly a real Crochet Artist.  

Why? 

Well if it is anything like being quilter.  I have taken the step planning the next project before the current one is finished. 

I even have a couple UFO's (Unfinished Projects) . . . 

One is this one 

I stopped on it because I needed to order yarn.  And  I had tons of scraps from two other blankets and this one. 

I will finish this project in after Christmas.   This is what the finished project will look like . . . 

Don't you love the Flowers.   I did a couple tests and they are super easy!  

I can't wait to get back to this one! 

So here is where I am at with the current project.  I was itchin' to see how close it is to covering the bed. 

I only plan to add maybe one more row because I am planning on making a really wide border.  Like this . . . 

I love the wide lacy border in this one and this one . . . 

I mentioned in a previous my apprehension about seeing the Hex blocks together.  I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it is . . . 

When the project was small I could sit on the futon and hold it in my lap . . . 

Now that it is bigger I have had to move to the card table.

It is really easy to put the blocks together. 

Much easier than putting quilt blocks together. 

 Waaay more forgiving.  Crochet stretches.  Fabric doesn't.  Or if it does every thing gets all out of wack!  

And now like a quilter  I am thinking of my next project. 

Mainly because  I will getting yarn for Christmas.  

 I have been thinking about this blanket for literally  years. 

The only reason  I haven't  made it yet is I was too busy making quilts. 

The photo is an advertisement of a fabric line.  I found it in a quilt magazine.  I have been carrying it around since 2005. 

I am planning  on making it for my daughter 

And since I have a few UFO, a Work in Progress and plans for my next project.  

I think I am a Real Crochet Artist!
