 The Weather

 Sun today is promised.  38' in the morning but climbing to 59'.
Actually beautiful weather.  Maybe a little rain on Tuesday but otherwise it's gonna be nice this week!

Right Now I  Am

Wishing it was spring!  Can't wait to get outside and dig in the dirt. 
And glad the weather is pretty and I have a short work week. 
I only work Tues, Thurs and Friday. Yea!

In the kitchen

A few plans . . . January is a great time to re-organize your cabinets or pantry.  
Check the dates on your baking soda, baking powder and other things you may not use often.  If you didn't already do it during holiday baking.  
Looking ahead... Check the dates in October for the upcoming holidays.
I'll be cleaning the fridge good this week and organizing my teeny tiny pantry space.

On the menu
Monday- Kielbasa (thawed too much last week), 
Kielbasa Fajita's, Mexican Rice, Cup Chicken Tortilla Soup
Tuesday- Meatloaf, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes
Wednesday- Pasta Alfredo or Red...hmmm
Thursday -Clam Chowder, Bacon Sandwichs, 
Mac/Cheese Kid Friendly
Friday- Time to grill Steak, Baker, Salad, Bread


What worked last week . . . 
What I planned.  What we ended up eating.  

Monday- Korean Beef, Stir Fry Veggies, Steamed Rice ✓

Tuesday- Mom's Chili Stew ✓

Wednesday- Kielbasa, Fried Okra, Pinto's ✓
Thursday- Breakfast food 
Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Hash Browns ✓
Friday- Leftover Cup/Chili Stew, Fried Cod, Onion Rings ✓


In the garden 

Nothing new but I have a few plans.  I am going to plant some Coleus seeds to put in the front of  the house and on the edge of the veggie garden with the mums and butterfly bush I planted.
Have you ever planted Coleus?

Very pretty. Low maintenance. Super easy to grow from seed so they are economical!  And very showy!

On the to do list
Make my oven look like this!

Here's their recipe 
Into a spray bottle mix:
2 oz. Dawn Dishwashing liquid
4 oz. Lemon Juice
8 oz. White Vinegar
10 oz. Water
Now make your house sparkle!

In the craft basket
Nothing yet but I want to start the crochet blanket I posted 
a couple weeks ago. 
Because I want to go with this look for Christmas in my 
Outdoor Cabin Room . . .

On the reading pile
Only digital copies so no real pile.  The one that I can't wait to read is . . . 

This one looks good.  I don't get a lot of offers for Romantic 
Suspense which I really like.  I read and review alot of books so I always wait till closer to the post date before reading.  I'm itchin' to read this one.

From the camera

I completed the Houston charity quilt project a few weeks ago. 
I finally found someone to take them down over New Years. 
3 of us did a total of 20 quilts in 8 weeks!
