What it's about . . .
The Prodigal Is Coming Home
Its been a long time since Colt Stafford shrugged off his cowboy legacy for shiny Manhattan loafers and a promising career on Wall Street. But when stock market manipulations leave him financially strapped, the oldest son of legendary rancher Sam Stafford decides to return to the sprawling Double S ranch in Grays Glen, Washington. Hes broke, but not broken, and its time to check in with his ailing father, and get his legs back under him by climbing into the saddle again.
He doesnt expect to come home to a stranger pointing a loaded gun at his chest a tough yet beautiful woman that Sam hired as the house manager. Colt senses theres more to Angelina Morales than meets the eye and hes determined to find out what shes hiding...and why.
Colts return brings new challenges. Younger brother Nick has been Sams right-hand man at the ranch for years and isnt thrilled at having Colt insert himself into Double S affairs. And the ranchs contentious relationship with the citizens of Grays Glen asks all the Stafford men to examine their hearts about what it truly means to be a neighbor. And as Wall Street recovers, will Colt succumb to the call of the financial districts wealth and poweror finally the courage to stay in the saddle for good?

What I thought . . .
I was drawn in from the first few pages. I couldn't put it down. This was a very well written great story of romance family and faith. The story line was great. The author did a wonderful job of weaving together a romance along with a little real life struggles all interwoven into a story full of grace and forgiveness.
I enjoyed the characters. I felt like they were all fully developed.
I look forward to the next installment in the series. I always look forward to reading the stories of a sub-character in a book.
The main characters Colt and Angelina are both well developed. Colt a is strong and dependable. Angelina is
'spit fire'. Her character is cute, strong and opinionated.
Angelina doesn't mind telling everyone what she is thinking and manages to help not only Colt but his father as well come to a closer relationship with God.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was difficult to 'put down' I would recommend it.
My rating is 5 stars . . .
I received a complimentary copy from Book Look and Multnomah
