God lifts you up . . .
Takes you in and washes you off . .
He opens you up and touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff. . .
He then carves a new smiling face . . .
. . . and he puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
Last fall my daughter hosted a pumpking carving party for some teenagers at a Children's Home where she was working. Even though she was going through a very tough time she thought about these kids and provided an evening of fun.
She made little fabric pumpkins and included the above poem.
That is the kind of light that shines if we we let it.
What a great way to take the focus off the negative and turn it around to glorify God.
