Good Morning. One of my favorite posts to write is this one my Happy Homemaker post.
I enjoy joining Sandra. Her great prompts take a bit of the pressure off when you can't think of anything in to write about!
Let's get on with it . . .
The weather this week no rain in the forecast. 80's most of the week creeping up to 90 by weeks of end.
On the breakfast plate we have some leftover hash. That will be good with a fried egg
What I am wearing always shorts and a tank top during the day. I found new short boots on clearance at Target. When it rains hard it collects in the street gutters. I wore my new black boots with black pants and a striped shirt to dinner the other night. It was still raining a little when we left. My boots were perfect for the puddles.
I like my boots!
Looking around the house I am overwhelmed with our 2nd living area and my crafting space/library. We have not been able to find affordable decent shelves for books and my supplies. I can't even get to my table. I had to dig computer bags out of the closet that the Cowboy had stored papers in. Everything from the closet is on my table and in my space. I am just too overwhelmed to deal with it!
On the To Do List
Putting everything back in the closet again! 3rd time!
Enjoy my craft space
Go to post office. Mail cards and packages and buy stamps
Go to used bookstore
Go to a garden park
Goals we have decided to look into buying a golf cart. The Cowboy agreed to sell a few things and save the money for the golf cart.
We don't have much left to sell except his library and some guns.
We have one framed print to try and sell.
On the menu
Monday Chicken and Dumplings
Tuesday Steak, Potatoes and Fried Okra
Wednesday Teriyaki Salmon, Fried Rice
Thursday leftover Spaghetti
Friday Beef Stew from leftover Roast from freezer
On the reading pile
New on the blog (s)
I am starting a new feature here called From the Mailbox. I will share the goodies I receive like this!
This is the gorgeous Red Junk Journal page I received in a SWAP.
Over at My Reading Journeys I am doing last minute prep for the 2nd Annual Dog Days of Summer Book event
Each day I am posting teasers like this on fb . . .It will be a super fun event. I hope you come by.
On the t.v. We are really liking the shows on the Magnolia Network. Although the Cowboy binge watches and I don't like it. I like to watch an episode and then watch something else. Makes the series last longer.
Do you binge watch?
List of shows . . .
Clint Harp Travel Restoration
The Mega Yacht Reality Shows
Dr Jeff Colorado Vet
Magnolia Table
Waiting on more episodes . . .
The lost Kitchen
Restoring Galveston
Johnny Swim
Crafting plans if I ever get my space workable again.
I saw similar ones on fb but my phone won't save them form fb.
They are made by cutting up flowers from magazines and catalogues. And I have a few I can cut up. I will be trying this week.
I also have to make a pretty but simple Colorful Junk Journal for a SWAP. These are the colors I will use.
I will include one envelope and paper. Then I will add dyed papers and bits and other Ephemera.
The example was bound with Washi Tape. I will put tape on the edges of some pages.
Some of my favorite tapes will be used.
I love the Pink dots and the check.I also love the Blue dots and the eye glasses. I probably won't use the glasses. They don't go with the theme.
I am kind of thinking super simple.
A Minimalist approach. We will see what happens!
From the camera
We visited the best Antique shop we have ever been to! It was super fun and full of goodies.
We did not know it was once a hotel.
We saw the shop on the t.v. show Restoring Galveston and we were anxious to go.
The owners of and staff are super friendly!
The outside looks nothing like the inside!
Scripture/Devo.
