Dog Days of Summer A Senior Dog to Adopt or Sponsor

Welcome back.  We've celebrating Dogs all week.

Today I am sharing a lovely dog that deserves a new Fur Ever Family.

I want to thank Author Diane Kelly for providing the information on on the dogs.

 This is Birgit . . .

She reminded Diane of her fictional Birgit in the Paws Enforcement Series.  You can read all about the books below.

Let's meet the Real Life  'Birgit'

Hi, I’m Brigit! I’m a gentle girl loves to be near people, and will follow you wherever you go. I’m kind and patient, smart and curious, and oh-so-forgiving when another pup bumps into me. I do struggle with my back-end, so I’ll need a home without stairs, but I don’t let it keep me down. I’m a determined one! I’d love to have a forever family of my own, and know I’ll make a great addition to almost any home!”

Available for Adoption
Or
Sponsor Birgit

By sponsoring one of our dogs living at the sanctuary you will help give them a comfortable retirement, provide medical care and food!  You will be recognized on the sponsored dog’s page for your one year sponsorship. All of our dogs receive a thorough veterinary exam, blood work, possible teeth cleaning and extractions, vaccines, and microchips. Some of the dogs also need laser therapy for arthritis, chemotherapy, hip surgery and many other specialty services. With your sponsorship you can help provide quality vet care!
You are able to choose to sponsor food for 1 year for $500, medical care for 1 year for $1,000 or all expenses for 1 year for $2,500.
If the dog you are sponsoring passes away during your time of sponsorship your donation will be used to provide quality vet care to another senior dog in our program

Providing Lifetime Homes

Senior dogs, especially those with medical problems or disabilities, face a much greater chance of euthanasia at shelters than younger dogs because it is difficult to find adopters for them due to their shorter additional life expectancy and unknown veterinary costs. Most of these wonderful senior dogs will be able to live happily with a good quality of life if given a chance. They make wonderful companions because they are mature, calm and loving. It is more difficult for them to settle in, and once they do, it is difficult for them to move again. For this reason we strive to find them forever foster homes where they can live out their retirement years as a loved family member.

Today I am sharing book 1 to get you started.  All the books are available on Amazon.

Paw Enforcement introduces police officer Megan Luz and her loyal K-9 partner Brigit-two Fort Worth cops who are worth their weight in kibble.

SHE'S ON A SHORT LEASH.

Officer Luz is lucky she still has a job after tasering a male colleague where it counts the most. Sure, he had it coming-which is why the police chief is giving Megan a second chance. The catch? Her new partner can't carry a gun, can't drive a cruiser, and can't recite the Miranda Rights. Because her new partner is a big furry police dog. So that's what the chief meant when he called Megan's partner a real b*tch...

WILL FATE THROW HER A BONE?

With Brigit out on the beat, Megan is writing up enough tickets to wallpaper the whole station. But when a bomb goes off at the mall's food court, it's up to Megan and Brigit to start digging-and sniffing-for clues. With the help of dead-sexy bomb-squad expert Seth Rutledge and his own canine partner named Blast, Megan finds herself in a desperate race to collar a killer. Will justice be served-or will she end up in the doghouse?
