Tea Time Tuesday End of Summer Tea Party
Good Morning
Welcome to Tea Time Tuesday
I have a special treat today. I am sharing a lovely Tea Party that a new friend hosted . . .
A lovely themed display. Can you smell the Lemons? So pretty!
Lemons everywhere on this table filled with yummy treats
I can't decide which little bite to choose! Did you see the plates?
The use of the Lemon placemate is clever!
Lovely yummy bites!
We met on a FB group I recently joined and kindly allowed me to share her photos.
And here is the link to the group. Click Here
I found the perfect book for today!
And it is book 1 in the series!
In an old Victorian in the heart of Pennsylvania's Amish country, Daisy Swanson and her aunt Iris serve soups, scones, and soothing teas to tourists and locals--but a murder in their garden has them in hot water . . ."... readers are immediately drawn to main character, Daisy Swanson, and her beloved Aunt Iris."- Suspense MagazineDaisy, a widowed mom of two teenagers, is used to feeling protective--so when Iris started dating the wealthy and not-quite-divorced Harvey Fitz, she worried . . . especially after his bitter ex stormed in and caused a scene at the party Daisy's Tea Garden was catering. Then there was the gossip she overheard about Harvey's grown children being cut out of his will. Daisy didn't want her aunt to wind up with a broken heart--but she never expected Iris to wind up a suspect in Harvey's murder. Now the apple bread and orange pekoe is on the back burner while the cops treat the shop like a crime scene--and Daisy hopes that Jonas Groft, a former detective from Philadelphia, can help her clear her aunt's name and bag the real killer before things boil over . . . Includes delicious recipes for Iris's Lemon Tea Cakes and more!Available on Amazon

Busy Monday
Welcome to my Monday post I like to call Busy Monday.
Are you Busy today?
I was Busy the last few weeks working on a new Crochet project. This is my inspiration.
The colors spoke to me. But I am a beginner so this is gorgeous blanket is way beyond my ability. This one inspired me too. I was planning on using a couple shades of Green for borders. But look at this gorgeous be Purple!
I searched and searched for a free pattern and tried several.
My first thought. But I really like the look of the Hexagon . . .
I think this is the one. But it is larger than I want so this week I will try a smaller stitch.
I am Busy this week trying to promote my FB Readers page. Do you read Cozy Mysteries or Sweet Romance. I post daily over on my book blog and on FB. It is a private group but you can ask to join. Click Here
Today I am Busy moving things around in my cabinets. They are tall. I can barely reach the second shelf. I have to stand on ladder to reach the top!
We got a super deal at Kroger last night . . .
I saw something on FB that was cool. There was alot of chatter about this. Some people talking 'Smack' suggesting a food pantry wouldn't have a need for this. Found Here
I have personally been in a pantry when ladies came in for birthday cakes. And I heard the worker say come back on a certain day and they would have cake for her 4 year old. Ask your area pantry!
When I am not Busy I love to read other blogs. This is a favorite.
I love the Parisienne Farmgirl. I just adore the photography and dream of beautiful rooms like she shares. Click HereThis week I plan to get my September Calendar and Planner ready. I am super Busy this time of year with book promos and planning Christmas events.
If I am not too Busy I will make these . . .
These look and sound so good! The author shared the recipe with me. These would be a nice surprise for the Cowboy he likes Coconut! You can find the recipe over HereAnd I am Busy getting out my Fall decor and filling our little beach cottage with Pumpkins.
I hope to Busy exploring this Island we call home.
Wishing you a beautiful, fun, productive and Sparkly week!

Happy Homemaker in Texas
The weather we are watching the activity in the gulf. We are getting much needed showers during the night. Much cooler temps. Fall is in the air.
As I look out my window I really can't see out my window. But currently I hear loud new neighbors moving in. Very loud!
Right now I am hoping it quiets down outside. On the positive I am getting out Fall Pumpkins and decor.
Thinking and Pondering Christmas isn't far away. We are planning to buy a tree at Hobby Lobby as soon as they are on line. I will start checking this week. There is not a H.L. on island. Bummer.
How I am feeling Good. Weather is so much cooler! Now we can enjoy island life.
On the breakfast plate this morning this is what the Cowboy wanted
I had Bacon and L/O Chicken Fried Steak from last night from Salt Grass. It was good but mine is better. What I am wearing Brown tank with lace, crochet and beads (it is worn out) and black shorts and socks.
On my reading pile
I went to the bookstore in town. All they have are used copies. Two old friends Maddie Day and Debra Goldstein. And a couple new friends.I can only get books at Walmart. Not too many choices.
On my TV this week Finally we found Restoring Galveston on a free trial. I think we have already watched them all. But there are several new to us shows.
On the menu No real plans yet. But we will be eating as much Beef as possible and Veggies that are high in Iron. The Cowboy needs a lot more iron in his diet.
Looking around the house I am planning on moving a few things. My sewing machine is by our bed. I want to move it to living room behind coach. I am planning on moving my adorable orange cart to our music room for a side table.
To Do List for the week Move the sewing machine and my flower cart cart. Promote blog and start my Fall Link party. You will be seeing more recipes here. Work on my September Calendar and Planner
Something fun to share
