Welcome to Wordfilled Wednesdays probably my favorite day. I love to visit everyone and see the amazing illustrations of God's word at Amy's.
The verse I chose was one from A Father's Love Letter. I had a difficult time choosing the perfect one. I think this one might fit.
Matthew 10:29 Even the very hairs on your head are numbered.
Being filled with his word on the journey...

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
I agree with Sandra. . .
In memory of our beloved son by Becky at Sweet Cottage Dreams. This post had me crying to the point where I was actually sobbing and found it hard to write the comment. Becky and her husband lost their son Jordan on the 4th of February 2009. I don't know how Becky was able to write this post and my heart goes out to her during this awful time.
Favorite photo from last week:
I haven't taken the time to download please forgive me and come back soon for some great photo's!
Lesson learned the past few days:
That no matter how much I try, I can't always protect my children from the hardships and horrible things that surround us on a daily basis. I agree again with Sandra.
Many of you read my post from a few days ago it is so hard being a mom. I don't know what season of my life has been the hardest. My young sisters remember that you will always be a mommy. No matter what even if they are 30 your still thier mommy. I am determined to still be thier mommy. There are times that I need a mommy and mine isn't. I know that might sound strange but I do.
And that I am not supposed to worry that God is in control. I am still learning this one.
On my Prayer List:
My husband
My daughter and her family
Becky and her family at Sweet Cottage Dreams
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Psalms 56:3
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee. (NIV)

I wish...Then Sings My Soul Saturday
I have had this song stumbling around in my head for a few days.
One of my favorite things is the c.d. package on my cable. There is a Contemporary Christian music channel and I just love it. They play new and old songs. Not like our radio station that tends to play the same songs over and over.
Here's the song I am humming...
There were a couple of videos on you tube but I chose this one because of the interview. God touched me by hearing this. You see the group is branching out into Country Music and in the past when I have heard of other Christian bands or singers do this I was somewhat judgemental. But I see now that God can use these wonderful singers through the medium of Country music to bring many more people unto himself.
I love the words of the song because even though I believe in God and have a relationship with Christ many of these words fit me. I wish things were better.
I wish better for my baby girl (not really a baby anymore though) I wish that I were more like Jesus. That is the biggest one.
And I pray that someone by hearing this song learns that God loves them and accepts Christ as thier savior.
And before you run over to Amy's for Then Sings My Soul Saturday.
Check out this post here. I was Blessed to see Pointe of Grace last year at a local church. I was able to take 10 girls from our halfway house to the Girls of Grace Conference. As I sat and listened to the speakers I was hearing things I didn't want to forget. I am a note taker and I was itching to take notes but I had to keep an eye on the girls. A few minutes into the first speaker one girl reached for the pencil in the pew and began writing on her brochure. Then another girl 7 out of the ten girls ended up writing down notes during each speaker. I am thankful that
Pointe of Grace reaches out to thier younger sisters sharing Christ love and bringing many more into the kingdom.

Coffee Break
Wednesday they came by before work and we went to my new favorite mexican resturant. The waitresses there are really young and they love the baby. They are teaching all of us spainish. It is so funny this is the second time we have taken the baby. They speak english but as soon as they start talking to the baby it is in Spainish.
It was such fun this week to spend so quiet time all alone with the two of them.
My daughter is the best mom. Even when she is struggling with outside pressures she is still very nurturing and just a good mom. Also talks gently and softly to the baby. Never wanting the baby to cry or be fusses she really does make a great effort to see what is wrong. Not in a fussy way but in a gentle soft voice she talks to him and usually he will stop fussing.
My daughter loves God and yearns to be closer to him and for her son to go to church. They don't get to go often which makes me sad. But I know that will change over time. God knows and has a plan. We sing to him. One of his favorite songs is I'll Fly Away. She started singing that when he was just a few weeks old when he would flay his arms during diaper changing. Now anytime he starts to get upset of fussy you sing I'll Fly Away and he just smiles and smiles. He also loves Christmas carols which I sang while rocking him. My cowboy says he'll grow up falling asleep in church when Christmas Carols are sung.
I love that I get to spend some time with both of them. Because she is able right now to work part time and because I keep the baby I get to see them a couple of times of week and I am thankful.
She calls or sends a text photo almost everyday so I can always tell how she feels.
I know many of you have asked about her. She is trying really hard to be the wife and mother God wants her to be. Pray with me for her and her little family.
Thanks RachelAnne for inviting us all to coffee today.
Many Blessings to all...oh here's Rachel's link. (Click on Rachel's name)

Thankful Thursday
Don't leave...my post is below but help me out. Is it only my computer or does my blog load really slow! I hope in a way it is only me but does that mean my computer is sick? Please leave me a comment...enjoy Thankful Thursday
I love creative bloggers that come up with great ideas like Thankful Thursday.
Iris is one of those creative people.
Thank you God for Iris because she encourages me to be thankful for:
A kind a patient husband who is much more patient with me than I am with him. And for Sandra at Diary of a SAHM because she is doing a 31 Days of Prayer for Husbands.
I am thankful that it is Thursday and I have one more day to complete the projects and get things done that I planned this week. Friday I spend the morning and early afternoon working at the local foodbank. And usually when we get home we nap the rest of the afternoon. It is hard work!
I am thankful for pets. I just love all my pets. My dog Daisy. The new bunnies we have. I love my horse Pal. And I love my landlords dogs. We have been pet sitting this week and Daisy is having so much fun!
I am thankful that it is one day closer to spring. And if wishes came true I would wish it would be spring all year long!
I am thankful that God is patient with me too. Because I am so bad. I keep doing those things that I keep asking forgiveness for. You know things like speaking before thinking or asking God's direction. Things like worrying. The list could go on and on but this is a Thankful post isn't it?
I am thankful for you guys that come by and visit and encourage.
What are you thankful for today? But before I go I want to leave you with this photo. I hope it makes you smile.

Word Filled Wednesday
updated after visiting Laura Lee....please read to the bottom of my post and then go and visit her WFW post.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who
love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 (NIV)
Praying God's grace and mercy for you today. Please visit Amy for more wonderful illustrations of God's word.
The amazing post that Laura Lee wrote this morning reminded me of this song. I have not been able to get the words out of my head. And so I wanted to share it with you. Here's the youtube I found and the words below. Amazing.
He became sin who knew no sin that we might become his righteouse.
He humbled himself and carried the cross.
Love so amazing. Love so amazing.
Jesus Messiah name above all names. Blessed Redeemer. Emanuel.
The rescue for sinners. The ransom from heaven.
Jesus Messiah. Lord of All.
His body the bread. His blood the wine.
Broken and poured out all for love.
The whole earth trembled and the veil was torn.
Love so amazing. Love so amazing.
Jesus Messiah. Name above all names. Blessed Redeemer. Emanuel.
The rescue for sinners. The ransom from heaven.
Jesus Messian. Lord of all.
All our hope is in you. All our hope is in you.
All the glory to God. The light of the world.
Jesus Messiah. Name above all names. Blessed Redeemer. Emanuel.
Thank you father God for this amazing illustration of your love. Thank you God for your son Jesus our savior. Our redeemer. I pray to you today that your amazing love will be shown to someone today. That someone who reads this is brough closer to you. And comes to you through your son's amazing love.

" YOU WERE MADE FOR A MISSION"*
Matthew 28:19 19 "...Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, ..." NIV
Peggy shares with us the purpose of MISSION 4 MONDAY to share YOUR MISSION each week.
This week I want to share with you an event our ministry is planning. We will be hosting a Baby Preschool fair at a local church. Our ministry will provide information and baby items such as diapers, bottles etc. We also will be providing a small food box filled with canned vegtables. I met today with Sr. Pastor Jerry Campbell and Missions Minister Don Malpa of Springdale Baptist Church. It is located in a neighborhood that is now 80% hispanic. There is an elementary school about 3 blocks away. It is the elementary school that I went to. Springdale Baptist is the church that I was raised in. It is where I was baptized and also where I was married. When I got married I moved away from the neighborhood as did the rest of our family. My parents moved to Tennesse which is where they were when my father passed away. We brought him home to Texas and had his funeral service at Springdale.
Over the last couple of years since we began fulltime ministry I have had the opportunity to introduce a few teenagers to Springdale.
And now God is blessing us by allowing us to give back to the community again.
Our prayer is that through the baby fair that people will come to know the Lord.
Here are a couple of photo's from the Springdale website.
This photo isn't great I hope to get more but I wanted to at least have something for this post.
Our Baby Fair is scheduled for Saturday May 30th 10-2:00. Please lift me up in prayer. I have never done anything like this before! It is a huge undertaking. But I know that God will provide the resources we need and he will give me the strength to do what he needs me to.
I am Blessed to be able to give back to my community and share the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
Blessings on the Journey
Proverbs 3:5&6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your steps.
Dear ones,
I have found many new friends and supporters here. Today I need you all.
I mentioned in my Saturday post about my daughter and her horse. I haven't written alot of personal stuff but now is the time to share more and ask you guys for prayers and support.
Updated on Tues. I know that it isn't good bloggy etiquette to delete a post. But after much prayer I feel like my post of Mon. needs to be either permantly deleted or moved to a secure place.
Dear friends...If you came by Monday to read this post please forgive me for removing it. I still cherish your prayers and we need them so much! But since this blog is not secure I don't think it right to have what I wrote on Monday out there. I hope you all understand.
Will you all please continue to pray with me that God will give wisdom.
Thank you all for your prayers. If I don't post you will know why. If I do post it will be that this is a form of therapy for me. I am trusting and waiting and praying. Thank you all for your support.
Thanks for your prayers.

Then Sings My Soul Saturday...He understands
He understands. It is simple God understands all that we are going through. This week we went through something rough. God knows. He hears and he has a plan even if it isn't the plan we have. in his sovereignty he shared with us his love through this.
Yesterday we put to sleep our daughters 27 year old horse. She had him for 17 years. The horse she had before we put to sleep on Feb. 13. thirteen years ago. This has been a difficult week for use.
But through this amazing video sent to us by a friend that didn't even know what was going on we could see God's love. This reminder of his sacrifice for us show us that he is always there for us. That he hears and he understands our pain.
It is my prayer that if you are going through a tough time. Or just having a difficult time in believing God is who he says he is that this video and this message touches your heart. I pray that whatever I do in word or deed or through this blog is done in the name of the Lord Jesus and that for everything I will always give thanks to God the father through Jesus.
Please visit Amy for more Then Sings my Soul posts.

Thankful Thursday
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (ESV ~ emphasis mine)
Join Iris today for Thankful Thursday.
Today she has encouraged us all with these words...
"I think that 1 Corinthians is the best known love passage (besides John 3:16 of course); I know it is often used during a wedding ceremony. However I love to apply these passages to my entire life, not only to my marriage. The passages truly help me to keep the focus in times I encounter some very unlovable people."
Everyday I meet people actually teenagers that fall in that category on unloveable people. They are kids that in most cases have parents that either don't care or have given up. These kids seem on the outside to be unloveable. But as believer's we know that is not the case. God loves them.
Today like you all I am sure I am thankful for many things in my life. And as I sit and type this those items run through a list in my mind. And silently I thank God.
But because of Iris's encouraging words today I have one thing to share . . .
Today I am thankful that God has allowed me the amazing opportunity to share his love with them. Sometimes through a word or scripture. And sometimes through just the act of unconditional love like his.
Thank you God for using me to share your love. And today my prayer is that
whatever I do in word or deed that I do it in the name of the Lord Jesus and I will give thanks to you my Father.
Thankfully,

Saturday Show and Tell on Tuesday
I wanted to do this Saturday and didn't get to so this is a late Show and Tell. I loved Kim's idea of showing a special gift from our husbands. It goes along with the quest to pray for our husbands that Sandra is hosting. So I didn't want to miss out on this post. And, I wanted all my friends to know too that you can Show and Tell on Saturday! Visit Kim. She has a really fun blog.
I couldn't choose one favorite gift. Here are a few!
First is one of my favorite ever pets. My Rhett Butler. He was a Flemish Giant Rabbit. He was the sweetest bunny I have ever had. He was a mothers day present.
And next are two really special gifts
First our son. He is our oldest. This is him and his family. This photo was taken just before our 1st grand daughter was born. (I'll be posting pretty baby girl photo's soon)
Next our beautiful daughter. I could not have asked for a better daughter. She is an amazing Godly woman. A fantastic mother and wife.
And last but not least...
His heart.
Thank you God for the loving, giving and open heart of my Cowboy. Thank you for the wisdom and yearning for you that you placed in heart.

A fun New Monday
I found a really fun new meme on my friend Sandra's blog go over and join the fun.
Here's my fun post for the day.

Not copying Lora but I love the Bachelor. I have never watched it before.
Tonight will be Jon & Kate Plus 8 love them too!

On my To Do list:
Finish redoing my blog look and adding widgets I lost
Rearranging some furniture in the house (photo's later)
Going to store to get ingredients for new recipe
Finish learning how to use my new camera. Did you hear that? I got a new camera. Praise God!
New recipe I tried last week:
Tomorrow I will try one I got from 11th Heaven I love her blog. Been wanting to try it collecting the rest of the ingredients today
In the craft basket:
Too much to list! Two quilts in progress and need to make some Valentine cards. I want to get back to posting on Kelli's thursday meme.
Looking forward to:
Playing with photo's and posting
Homemaking Tip for this week:
this isn't green but I love canister wipes for the kitchen. Sorry not a time!
Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
31 Days of Prayer for my Husband originated over at Sandra's I needed this. Thank you Sandra.
Favorite photo of the week:
Of course on of the grandbaby but I'll have to load later. So you will have to come back to see!
Lesson learned this:
Probably more than I can list. But the main one is God is ever present and in control and does answer our prayers in his time. Which isn't always our time.
Have fun visiting Sandra and the others posts
When Life Crashes In...
Sometimes life crashes in. The plans you made go awry and you have to just stop in your tracks. That is what happened to me today. I had all these plans to write a post this morning. But life crashed in. Someone near and dear to me had 'life crash in' I have spent this morning listening, crying and praying.
When I was able to get to the computer I read comments and visited a new blog which led me to this.
I have never heard this song before. The illustration is beautiful and gave me peace. Today that is what I need to be able to drink from his cup and sit back and feel God's presence. There is someone else that needs him today. Maybe you need him today. Rest in his peace.
I'll return with a post later.

A word to the wise
Welcome to my new look. All I can say is it is pink and has a sort of Valentines Day look. Please come on in and stay awhile....I promise it really isn't as boring or out there as it seems right now. At least it's pink.
Once again I have tried to be current and up to date and make my blog fun and pretty and goofed! This time I lost all my widgets and photos and friends list. So, I'll be spending Monday fixing all the mess I made tonight. A word to the wise back it all up.
I tried just switching templates from the same source and I didn't back it up. That was dumb, dumb, dumb. I even got this little messsge that said you are about to delete all your widgets. If you ever get that message head it and stop.
One more little bit of advise. Never try this when you tired. Which is the state I am in right now.

Then Sings my Soul Saturday
I heard this song for the first time this week when we did a presentation at the halfway house where I minister. I was touched by the lyrics especially in each of the choruses and the names used for our Savior Elbow healer, Superhero,Heart-ache Healer, Secret-keeper,be my Best Friend These are all words that the girls cry out to anyone, someone that will love them and take away the pain.
They learned this week that they are names that they can use to Cry out to Jesus.
Thursday night 11 of our girls made decisions to follow Christ as their Savior May God give us the strength and the courage to teach them
these words from the end of the song are names that we pray that these girls will learn....Shepherd,Savior,Pasture-maker,Creator,Maker,Life-sustainer,Comforter,Healer,My Redeemer,Lord and King,Beginning and the End,I Am
And whatever, we do whether in word or deed may it be done in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through Him

Show and Tell Friday
Welcome to Show and Tell hosted by Kelli.
This is my first Show and Tell since October and I am happy to be back. Today in honor of Sandra's 30 Days of Prayer for our husbands I am honoring my Cowboy.
Below is one of his treasures.
This is a model engine that was made for him by one of the boys that he mentored.
All the parts on the engine move. It was built by the boy that gave it to him. He spent many hours putting all the tiny pieces together. It truly is a treasure and helps us remember how important our work is. Seeing it reminds me how hard my dear Cowboy works to tell the kids about Christ. Having it is a reminder of one boy that turned his life around.
Today I am thankful to be able to write this post. God has Blessed us. I am also thankful for Cowboy.
It's so great to be back!
Sing to the Lord
Today I am joining Iris for Thankful Thursday because I am so thankful to be back!
That is my short Thankful list.
Many Blessings to all my dear friends. Many Blessings to anyone that stops in to read this.
God is good. He supplies our needs. In his perfect timing. Maybe not in our timing but in his. And so we are filled with joyful happiness for his grace and provision.
Here's the verse Iris shared today....
“Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.”
~ Psalm 98:1

31 Days of Prayer for My Cowboy
I found something I really need right now at one of my favorite hangouts. Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom is doing a 31 days of prayers for her husband. I was touched this morning by what she had posted. Although I can't visit everyday right now I do want to join her and her friends. Hopefully they will keep me accountable as I work on this.
Todays verse below talks about his heart being tender to God's voice. That is what I pray for my cowboy today. We are both at a crossroads in our ministry. We both need to listen alot to God right now.
Thank you my dear sweet sister Sandra for allowing God to use you.
Pray that your husband will be humble and quick to agree with God about his sin. Pray that his heart will be tender toward the voice of the Lord. (Ps. 51:2-4; Micah 6:8 )
Wordfilled Wednesday
Welcome to Wordfilled Wednesday hosted by Amy over at the160acreawoods.com. (this is not a link).
Today I am babysitting again and so I get to use the computer for a few minutes while he is peacefully sleeping.
I posted this verse earlier in January. Please visit my other friend Rachel Anne at Homesanctuary.typepad.com. This was the verse she challenged us with in January. I chose to us it for my verse for this year. I seemed fitting today. I have been doing a lot of work with my hands and mind actually and I do want all that I do Glorify God. I have missed you all when I am unable to post or read your blogs but I have been busy.
Someday soon I'll be back regularly but until then may the work of my hands be pleasing to our father.
Thanks to all of you faithful friends that have visited me and left such sweet comments. I hope to see you soon.
